The NYC event at Hudoon River Park's Pier 54 cost $1,000 a ticket, but all proceeds benefited the foundation's scholarship program.

Other guests included former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez!

The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, started by Jay-Z and his mother in 2002, is now accepting applications from promising individuals already accepted into any accredited institution of higher learning!

Applicants must have maintained a 2.0 GPA, be a U.S. resident, and must provide proof of acceptance into any accredited post-secondary education institution.

The foundation gives equal opportunity to all, as there is no regard to race, religion, creed, age, and ancestry, economic or social status! The education program's mission statement reads:

"It is our mission, with the help of our mentoring program to soundly assert education & community development through service and awareness while equipping each incumbent with the essential mental, physical and financial support."
