We think Elton John wants another shot at the Oscars!

The singer's production company, Rocket Pictures, is in the process of reupping on their Disney hit, Gnomeo & Juliet.

This time, they need the help of famous Gnome detective, Sherlock Gnomes!

Titled Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes, the gnome gang will find themselves wrapped in mystery when some of garden figurines go missing.

Unfortunately, Sherlock Gnomes is no Sherlock Holmes!

Elton will compose new music for the flick and he also has the animated flick, Nerds, and his biopic in the works.

Looks like 2012 will be busy for Elton!

Depp Vs. Damon At The Box Office

rango-is-number-one-movie.jpg

It was a battle between Johnny Depp and Matt Damon at the box office this weekend.

So who came out on top??

Mr. Depp won with his animated movie Rango!

Making about $38 million in ticket sales, the animated feature clearly took the number one spot with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt's The Adjustment Bureau coming in number two with $20.9 million.

Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgen's film Beastly opened at number three with $10.1 million. The film was inexpensive to make so the numbers were decent, but not great.

Rounding out the top five movies were Hall Pass with $9 million and Gnomeo and Juliet with $6.9 million.

Were movie-goers in a slump this weekend??

Seems like none of the Oscar-winning movies got much of a boost from last week's awards show. Not even Best Picture winner The King's Speech.

What did U see this weekend??

Gnomeo & Juliet And Hall Pass Battle It Out At The Box Office

gnomeo-and-juliet-hall-pass-box-office.jpg

It was a battle at the box office between Gnomeo & Juliet and Hall Pass this weekend

In its third week of release, Gnomeo & Juliet made its way to the top, barely surpassing the Owen Wilson comedy Hall Pass.

With $14.2 million, it was the number one movie and barely inched its way to the Number One spot, passing Hall Pass, which made $13.4 million.

Liam Neeson's Unknown came in third while the Jennifer Aniston/Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It came in fourth place.

The Alex Pettyfer flick I Am Number Four rounded up the top five, while Justin Bieber's Never Say Never took a drastic fall and dropped to sixth place with $9.2 million.

Guess those Beliebers weren't interested in seeing the Director's Fan Cut, which was advertised to being out in theaters for only a week.

So, what did U see this Oscars weekend??

Unknown Is #1 At The Box Office

unknown-is-number-one-at-box-office.jpg

Sorry, Dianna Agron and Alex Pettyfer.

Liam Neeson took the number one spot at the box office with his thriller Unknown. The movie overperformed during this President's Day weekend, making $21.7 million with an estimated $26 million by the end of President's Day on Monday.

Meanwhile, I Am Number Four came in number two with $19.5 million, which was below expectations for the DreamWorks sci-fi flick.

Seems like co-stars Dianna and Alex had a rough weekend with the announcement of their break up and getting low numbers at the box office.

Disney's Gnomeo and Juliet 3D came in third lace with $19.4 million, which means it could still beat out I Am Number Four by the end of the holiday weekend.

Just Go With It and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son rounded out the top five.

Yikes, kind of a bad weekend for movies, right??

So the question is….what did U see this President's Day weekend??

Sandler Vs. Bieber: Who Got The Number One Spot?

never-say-never-versus-just-go-with-it.jpg

Believe it or not, it's a tie!

Well, actually, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston's Just Go With It barely edged out Justin Bieber's Never Say Never for the number one spot with $31 million, BUT it's such a tight race that the number one movie could change by the time Monday morning's figures come in.

By Sunday morning, Never Say Never brought in $30.3 million, which means it could easily take the top spot!

We're sure Beliebers will try their hardest to make that happen!

Meanwile, the animated film Gnomeo and Juliet came in third place with $25.5 million, which made the Valentine's weekend a pretty successful box office weekend.

So, we have to ask…what did U see this weekend?
