Stephen Curry Makes History By Becoming NBA's FIRST Unanimous Most Valuable Player — Watch His Speech Here!
There's no doubt that Steph has had an INCREDIBLE year as the Golden State Warriors set the NBA record for most games won during a single season, and are currently in the middle of playoffs and up 3-1 against the Portland Trailblazers in the Western Conference semi-finals.
Well the 28-year-old has another accomplishment to add to 2016 as he was not only named Most Valuable Player in the league, but he has become the first player to be voted to win unanimously!
That means all 130 sportswriters and broadcasters, as well as one vote from the Kia MVP fan vote all chose Curry as their number one pick!
In the past, Shaquille O'Neal and LeBron James both fell one vote short of being unanimous selections in 2000 and 2013. This means that Stephen is in good company with Tom Brady (2010) and Wayne Gretzky (1982) as the only unanimous MVPs in their respective leagues.
