This is so sad! We loved her so much as Carreen in Gone With the Wind!

Yes, it's unfortunately true. Ann Rutherford, the talented MGM beauty, has passed away.

Suffering heart problems, she died in her Beverly Hills home at the age of ninety-four Monday.

Most know her as Scarlett's little sister in the American classic, but we really got to know her through Pride and Prejudice and all the Andy Hardy films.

She was truly a treasure, and she'll be celebrated forever.

Rest in peace, sweet Ann. Your daughter and grandchildren are in our thoughts.

David Hasselhoff is the star of this weekend's most ridiculous sequel, Piranha 3DD. Naturally, after headlining the campy horror film, he's ready for his chance at an Oscar by starring in the mother of all remakes.

The 59-year-old told sources that he's hoping he'll be cast in an updated version of Gone With The Wind! While talking about how disappointed his manager was in him for choosing the bloody sequel, he explained:

This is great news!

Over 600 Gone With The Wind fans have rallied together to raise the $30,000 needed to repair five of the film's iconic costumes worn by Vivienne Leigh.

The Harry Ransom Center in Texas will use the $30K to not only restore the dresses, but also purchase custom fitted mannequins and proper housing to display them.

Steve Wilson, a film curator, says "These generous donations confirm that the film's legions of fans care."

As we mentioned last month, the Harry Ransom Center hoped to raise the money before 2014, which is the 75th anniversary of Gone With The Wind.

Five of the dresses worn by Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind, including the iconic green dress made from curtains, are in desperate need of repair.

The Harry Ransom Center in Austin, Texas is trying to raise the $30,000 needed to restore the costumes, which can't be displayed because they're in such bad shape, before the 75th anniversary exhibit takes place in 2014.

Restoring the dresses will also allow the center to share Scarlett O'Hara's wardrobe with other museums around the world.
