Former Biggest Loser Contestant Speaks Out Against Those On Strike

John Forger

If you haven't heard, ALL the remaining cast members of Biggest Loser are threatening to call it quits if the producers allow previously eliminated contestants to come back to compete for the $250K grand prize.

We think it's total bullshizz that the producers would pull this stunt on people who put in the hard work to stay in the competition, but a season 12 contestant is a little perturbed at the contestants on strike.

66-year-old John Forger, who was eliminated in the second week of season 12 after losing 97 pounds, believes these people are forgetting what this show is all about — getting healthy! He told sources he would NEVER walk off the show over a money issue when his life is at stake, explaining:

worst software error ever

Worst. Software Error. Ever.

Earlier this year, 26-year-old Swiss national Behar Merlaku tried his luck at a slot machine in an Austrian casino in the tiny town of Bregenz…and it did NOT go as planned.

The machine started ringing and flashing for Merlaku, and he was informed that he'd just won $57 million…until casino owners told him that there'd been a "software error" and they offered him $100 and a free meal as a consolation prize.

Apparently, the

General Zod's Michael Shannon's Take Shelter Wins Grand Prize At Cannes!

michael shannon film take shelter wins grand prize at cannes

Things are really looking up for Michael Shannon!

In April, Warner Bros announced that Shannon had been officially cast as General Zod in Superman: Man of Steel!

Now, another film he's starring in, Take Shelter, has been awarded the Grand Prize in the Critics Week competition at Cannes!!!

The film's story is about "a man attempting to protect his family from an impending natural disaster." Sounds intense!

Hopefully Michael's able to save his family in the film! Or at the very least, let's hope he gets to spend his final moments in his loved ones' arms.

Does Take Shelter sound like a film that you'd like to see? Do U think it deserves the Grand Prize at Cannes?

The Xcitement Continues! Simon Gives Plenty Of Deets On New X Factor!

simon talks more about x factor

We were pretty excited yesterday when we learned that the jackpot for the upcoming U.S. X Factor would be a $5 million record deal.

Now, Simon Cowell has decided to give plenty of new deets on the show.

Here's what he had to say about the gargantuan grand prize:

"By putting up that kind of prize money, it's a massive, massive risk. But it's also an incredible incentive. I think it puts everybody, rightly, under an enormous amount of pressure. I didn't want to go into this show without a feeling a certain amount of pressure, because with pressure, you've got to find a star."

"I think if we can't find a global star, then I would say we failed. I can't put it any clearer than that. There is that person or that group sitting in America right now waiting to be discovered. [The money proves] we are genuinely, genuinely serious about this. We believe that there is somebody with that star quality out there."

We can certainly see you're taking this seriously, Simon. No question there.

Here's Cowell on X Factor judges:

"I wanted to do a show where judges could help competitors on a weekly basis. It's more interesting to me; it definitely gives me something more to do. When an artist wins, you win. It really does become an incredible competition with judges, in a way more than the artists, because we don't pretend to like each other."

"I have to put people on this panel who I genuinely think could be better than me, so it becomes a real competition. It is a very, very different principle. It's easy to make comments, but when you have to put together the entire performance yourself and your fellow judges are judging you, it's very intimidating."

"I've started to cringe over the years when I started to see people being booked as the mean judge and just being gratuitously rude for the sake of it. I just don't like that. I have my own style. I like to think I'm honest. I wouldn't sugarcoat something just to make myself popular, and I'm going to try and be consistent to how I've been over the years. That's the way I'm going to approach it."

And here's Simon on opening up the show to younger auditioners:

"I think times have changed. There are some incredibly talented young kids out there. We've started to see a trend of what kids this age are capable of doing. … They've got their own opinions; they know what they're doing. You look at someone like Willow Smith — here's a trend happening at the moment. I think it would have been wrong to exclude them."

All sounds very Xciting, Simon! We can't wait!
