Comic Book Fans, Rejoice! Watchmen Is Getting A Prequel Series!

watchmen getting a prequel series

This will be extremely EXCITING news for many…and absolutely HORRIFIC news for others…

We've just learned that DC Comics has plans to publish seven "comic-book mini-series," which will "continue the stories of the adventurers introduced in Watchmen, which was written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons."

The prequel series is being referred to as Before Watchmen, and it is scheduled to start up this summer.

Kristen Stewart In Talks For Akira!

kristen-stewart-signs-up-for-akira

Kristen Stewart is certainly keeping busy!

The actress, who recently wrapped the Twilight franchise and Snow White & The Huntsman, is reportedly in advanced talks for director Jaume Collet-Serra's epic based on the Katsuhiro Otomo graphic novel Akira, alongside castmembers Garrett Hedlund and Gary Oldman!

If all goes as planned, she'll be playing female lead Kei in two films, which will each encompass the plot of three books in the series!

We don't know too much about the source material, so we'll ask:

What do U think?? Is KStew a good choice for the part of Kei?

Chad Michael Murray Everlast

Inspired by his graphic novel Everlast, Chad Michael Murray began dabbling in his own fan-fiction, stories that eventually lead to Flight of the Cormorant: An Everlast Story.

The Everlast saga revolves around Derek Everlast and his adventures as he tries to save the world before the end of days.

His short story is available for download on his website, with 100% of the proceeds going to three of his favorite charities. Buyers can choose which of the three their money goes to by tweeting their preference (kind of like deciding which box to drop your token in at vintage shops)!

Chad loves his stories, saying:

code-word-geronimo

First a simulation game, and NOW a graphic novel! What's next…a ride at Disneyland? Oh right…Disney's no longer trying to profit from the bin Laden raid. Ha!

And yes, you read correctly. There is a graphic novel about the Osama bin Laden raid on its way, entitled Code Word: Geronimo, which was written by retired U.S. Marine Captain Dale Dye and wifey Julia Dye.

Here's what co-writer Julia Dye had to say about the graphic novel:
