Brace yourself for some troubling news.
According to a new study, 95% of green products are not AS green as they're advertised to be on their labels. An overwhelmingly large number of these products contain misleading or unsubstantiated claims of environmentalism.
Here are some examples of infractions found on environmentally-friendly products:
-No proof of environmental claims
-Vague or poorly defined marketing language, such as the word "all-natural"
-Usage of fake labels to imply third-party certification or endorsement of eco-friendly claims
At the risk of spreading paranoia, it looks like those environmentally-friendly products you've been picking up MAY NOT be as friendly as you thought.
Guess the best course of action would be to do further research before picking up these products, whenever possible.
