William Shatner Lends His Amazing Voice To Greenpeace Video

William Shatner is just one man.

One handsome, extraordinary man with the voice that sounds similar to a beautiful harp.

So when the Star Trek star speaks, we unequivocally listen.

For a new Greenpeace ad, Shatner makes the insightful point that pet owners would do anything to keep their beloved ones safe from harm.

But those same animal lovers seem nonchalant about the destruction happening to earth's animals and its environment as a whole.

We should protect ALL the animals, or as many as we can!

Right?!

Check out the Shatner narrated Greenpiece video (above) !!!

Homeless Polar Bear Wanders Through London!

Filed under: Music MinuteInspirationSad SadBearPolar Bear

Awww this is beary beary sad!!

But, what a simple, effective campaign attempting to reduce Arctic drilling…

The above Greenpeace video features an aimless, homeless Arctic Polar Bear forced out from her chilly, northern habitat due to money-hungry oil corporations and their effect on climate change.

The bear wanders through London's streets with Radiohead's Everything In Its Right Place ominously playing in the background.

Thom Yorke recently addressed the issue of our climate's precarious future, stating:

"We have to stop the oil giants pushing into the Arctic. An oil spill in the Arctic would devastate this region of breathtaking beauty, while burning that oil will only add to the biggest problem we all face, climate change."

So, so true. It's redicuouls to imagine how much money is being poured into an ultimately devastating source of energy, when it could be used to discover new, renewable ways to provide safe, clean energy for our already sick planet…

We love her commitment!!

We told you that Lucy Lawless was protesting on a drilling ship owned by Shell off the coast of New Zealand for Greenpeace earlier this week.

But now, the actress, along with five other environmental activists, have been arrested after they were perched on top a 174-foot drilling tower on the Noble Discoverer.

She is currently in custody, but police have yet to determine what her charges will be.

During the protest, she told reporters:

"I've got three kids. My sole biological reason for being on this planet is to ensure that they can flourish, and they can't do that in a filthy, degraded environment. We need to stand up while we still can."

We admire your tenacity, gurlfrand! You are most definitely a warrior princess!

About 18 oil executives from companies including BP, Shell and Statoil were tricked into watching a 15-minute power-point presentation about environmental concerns over drilling in Greenland.

Several Greenpeace activists dressed up in suits and went to an actual seminar hosted by Greenland’s Raw Materials Directorate, at Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen.

The undercover activists waited in the elevator until the businessmen arrived and then told them that the meeting had moved to a different room.

A room that was

Marion Cotillard is looking flawless as per usual on the sultry cover of Interview magazines' August issue.

The Academy Award winning actress dishes to her Nine co-star Nicole Kidman about her recent travels with Greenpeace where she documents the plundering of Congolese forests.

The actress says:

"I’m very happy with what’s happening now and how the awareness is spreading. Because 10 years ago my mind-set wasn’t really normal for most people. I sounded like a crazy person talking about the environment. People saw me as a hippie who wanted to make my own cheese and live with animals in a house without electricity."

Good for you bb! You look gorgeous and way to get out there and make people aware of the issues in the Congo.
