Simon Cowell Channels His Inner-Teen Girl With LYLAS On X Factor!

Wow, we never thought we’d see THAT acronym again! LOLz!

While last season’s Groups category on X Factor proved to be one of the weakest, it seems Simon Cowell might just change that this time around!

As the boot camp results were revealed last night, three groups made it through to judges’ homes: Sister C, Dope Crisis and Emblem3.

However, since each category needed six contestants, Simon went ahead and formed teeny boy band, Playback, young girl group, LYLAS, and rap group, Lyric 145.

Check out one of the groups, LYLAS (above), made up of five strong female vocalists, who originally auditioned as solo acts!!

While they may be no Little Mix, is Simon trying to make them into a younger version of the Pussycat Dolls or the girl version of One Direction? And, was that a mini Nicole Scherzinger we saw?!

Guess we'll have to see if the ladiez prove to be one of Simon's strongest!

As for the other groups? Country girl group, Sister C, seemed to be a copycat version of season one’s Lakoda Rayne and Cali bros, Emblem3 stumbled a bit.

We did, however, kind of like Lyric 145’s rendition of Party In The USA! Ha!

The Contestant Categories On X Factor Are ALL-NEW! Find Out Which Judges Got What HERE!

x-factor-new-categories-mentors-assigned

Needless to say, we were NOT expecting this kind of switch-up!

But it's a season of CHANGE this year on The X Factor, so we're gonna embrace it!

As we all know, the reality competition divides its contestants by age and gender and assigns them to a specific group, each under the watchful mentorship of a judge on the panel!

Last year, Simon Cowell took the female solo singers ages 12 to 29, L.A. Reid the male, Paula Abdul the groups, and Nicole Scherzinger the over 30s, which had us pretty curious to see which categories new team members Demi Lovato and Britney Spears would land!

However, according to sources with the show, the group categories have been completely re-formatted, and now ALL categories are based solely on age!

So HERE is the new run-down, folks:

WTF!! Schools Ban Kids From Having Best Friends!

school-bans-students-from-being-best-friends.jpg

That is just WRONG!

A new trend is emerging among schools in the UK where teachers are actually BANNING students from having best friends.

Their reasoning behind this drastic rule is so that kids don't get upset over fall-outs with their besties and so they are forced to socialize in large groups.

Educational psychologist Gaynor Sbuttoni explains:

"They are doing it because they want to save the child the pain of splitting up from their best friend. But it is natural for some children to want a best friend. If they break up, they have to feel the pain because they're learning to deal with it."

The Campaign for Real Education's spokeman Chris McGovern feels very differently though.

He says:

"Children take things very seriously and if you tell them they can't have a best friend it can be seriously damaging to them. They need to learn about relationships."

School just wouldn't be the same without dealing with dramz from your very own BFF!

Just as long as it doesn't force more kids to feel forever alone, then we guess it doesn't hurt to have them socialize in larger groups.

Girls, especially, need their lifelong bestie though. How else would one experience life without their very own kindred spirit???

Social Network Wars! Google+ Project To Take On Facebook!

google vs facebook

Have you already hidden your Facebook wall because too many creepy people were scoping it out? Well, very soon, you may end up deleting your Facebook account altogether!

That's right folks. Much like choosing either Team Jacob or Team Edward in the Twilight world, Google is launching their own social network called Google+ project, which will compete with Facebook…and you'll have to choose a side.

Here's what Google's VP of product management Bradley Horowitz had to say about their soon-to-be-released social network:

"In real life, we have walls and windows and I can speak to you knowing who's in the room, but in the online world, you get to a ‘Share' box and you share with the whole world."

QuickFit Tip Of The Day

QFTD Blue 1

Even your bicep has two muscles so remember to concentrated on the individual muscles within a muscles group.

Many people will state that they worked their abs, chest, or legs on a particular day. But they may not have concentrated on the individual muscles within a muscles group (i.e. your quadriceps are not one muscle, but it is a group of four distinct muscles). Folland, et al. (2007) asserted that one strength training principle that competitive athletes focus on is training each individual muscle so that it is stimulated for maximum output potential. Therefore, make sure if you’re working your chest, do the bench press along with the incline press and pec flys to ensure each segment of the muscle is being stimulated.
