no title

Good for these celebs for throwing their full weight behind change!

Today, Billboard released its new cover, and instead of focusing on an album or celeb, or new artist, it's on something far more important: gun control legislation.

The mag's cover is an open letter directed to Congress asking for one very simple thing: sensible, simple changes on gun control legislation.

The cover (above) is signed by SO many musicians and entertainers — 194 of them to be exact — in demanding legislation, and the powerful open letter is being sent to every single chief of staff of all 535 Senators and Congressmen and women.

Celebs from Yoko Ono and the two surviving BeatlesPaul McCartney and Ringo Starr — to Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Zayn, Alicia Keys, and SO many more have attached their name to it.

And what they want is VERY simple and sensible.

As you can see, it's outlined in their open letter (below):

This is just sad and scary on another level.

Antonio Perkins was hanging out on the sidewalk on Wednesday afternoon when he was suddenly shot dead… and the whole thing was caught on camera.

Perkins, 28, was on a Chicago street casually partying when he started recording a video on Facebook Live, complaining about the heat and laughing with friends.

However, after roughly five minutes of recording, about a dozen gun shots rang out from off camera, and Perkins was hit — and the video captured bloody grass and more as the phone tumbled to the ground.

According to the report, cops pulled the tattoo artist over Monday night in Cocoa Beach and searched his vehicle after smelling marijuana. They found less than one gram of cocaine, two bags of weed, six ecstasy pills, three guns, and over 900 rounds of ammo.

Sheesh.

Tyler reportedly told police he had the ammo after visiting shooting ranges in the area.

He was charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor for the drugs and weapons.

Also on Wednesday, Tyler posted a picture to Instagram with the caption:

"Last one in cocoa beach before heading home 😎 Been a crazy week w my boys lol had a blast"

So clearly he learned a lesson.

The Gunman Bound For Los Angeles' Gay Pride Parade Has Been Identified — Had Criminal History

That's the face of James Wesley Howell.

He's the 20-year-old Indiana man who was placed under arrest Sunday morning after Santa Monica police discovered his vehicle was loaded with an arsenal of guns and explosives.

A concerned community member had sent in a tip about Howell prior to the arrest.

The armed gunman told authorities he was heading toward Los Angeles' annual Gay Pride Parade in West Hollywood and "wanted to harm" the celebration. According to reports, this isn't his first act of attempted gun violence.

We're now learning Howell was arrested just last October after pulling a gun out on his neighbor during an argument. He went with a plea deal that involved the firearms charge dropped, pleading guilty to intimidation, and one year probation.

As for what motivated today's attempted tragedy, officials are still working on sorting out his motives — although it's hard not to assume this was based on hate for the LGBT community.

We'll keep you updated as this story develops.

High School Musical's Justin Martin Breaks Silence After Pleading Guilty To Gun Charges

Justin Martin

High School Musical 3 star Justin Martin is opening up after being sentenced to 18 months in jail and one year probation earlier this week.

As we told you, the 22-year-old pleaded guilty to five different gun charges regarding a shootout with cops last summer in Massachusetts.

In a statement to People, Justin penned:

"I have matured a great deal in the past year and had to learn some hard lessons because of my actions. I should have acted more responsibly and taken my choices more seriously."

Martin said he's been making efforts since the incident to learn from his mistakes and educate others on gun violence:

"This last year, I have been speaking at schools in Boston and educating high school students about making good choices, anti-gun violence and drug awareness. I focus on being accountable for your actions and emphasize that one mistake doesn't have to define your life. I appreciate everyone's support, especially my family and friends for standing by me and knowing that my choices that night are not reflective of my true character. I look forward to moving past this time in my life and getting back to my career. Thank you for all the positive messages and support."

The actor's attorney said his client has "accepted responsibility for his mistakes," explaining:

"The incident was a confrontation initiated by others who have a long history with law enforcement, and Justin reacted in a way that was inconsistent with his character. At no time did Justin ever fire a gun at police officers. However, there was a circumstance when he pointed a gun at an officer who arrived in an unmarked car wearing plain clothes, mistakenly believing that they were part of the group of attackers. Justin's attackers fired at police and also fired at Justin. Martin was offered a plea agreement that was the minimum possible sentence by the court, but it is a mandatory sentence in the state for possession of a firearm. Justin has no prior confrontations with law enforcement and is hopeful that he can move forward from this unfortunate incident.‎"

George Zimmerman Just Sold The Gun He Used To Kill Trayvon Martin For A Disgustingly Large Amount Of Money…

As if it weren't easy enough to buy guns online… now you can even purchase ones you know were involved in murders.

George Zimmerman is one of the most hated men alive, so it shouldn't come as too much a surprise that he just spent a week trying to sell the gun he used to kill Trayvon Martin online.

While joke accounts and other fake bids luckily closed the auction the first two times he tried it, we're hearing the Florida resident just successfully sold the weapon for a disgustingly large amount of money on Wednesday morning.

Bidding through United Gun Group started at $100,000, and after 120 bids from nine users, George reportedly made somewhere between $120,000 and $138,900 for the firearm!

However, it's not all bad news — the highest bid came in from a user named John Smith, so it's more than likely the tob bidder never actually intended to go through with the sale.

Unfortunately, UGG also issued a statement regarding the numerous fake bids they received, detailing their intent to find legitimate offers, saying:
