Ugh! Not another incident like this!
We are deeply saddened to hear that a gunman in Oak Creek, Wisconsin open fired in a Sikh temple on Sunday. Before being shot by police officers arriving on the scene, the unidentified 40-year-old white male killed six people and injured three with no apparent motive.
Both authorities and the victims are stunned by the "domestic terrorist-type incident." A member of the congregation told sources:

Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Christopher Nolan have already released statements regarding the Colorado shooting during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, but now another star has too.
Although Joseph Gordon-Levitt fell silent on Twitter following the tragedy, he finally spoke up on Monday to give the victims his condolences. The actor, who plays a Gotham City cop in the film, tweeted:

Patricia Legarreta and Jamie Rohrs were two of the people who went to the midnight showing of Dark Knight Rises, where gunman James Holmes open fired.
They brought their 4-month-old son and 4-year-old daughter to the showing and had originally planned on sitting in the front of the theater. In a last minute decision, they opted for seats in the back of theater and ALL survived the shooting.
Watch the interview with the couple (above) to hear their account of the event.
The couple and their children are extremely fortunate to have survived the senseless mass shooting…we cannot even BEGIN to imagine how utterly terrifying that must've been.
Horrible to think what was simply meant to be a trip to the movies resulted in such a horrific, devastating tragedy.

Just… unimaginably disturbing!
The 24-year old suspected gunman of last night's fatal movie-theater shooting has been identified as former University of Colorado, Denver PhD student James Holmes.
James reportedly moved from San Diego to Colorado to pursue a PhD in neuroscience in 2011, but was in the process of withdrawing from the program.
James gave himself up to officials outside of the crime-scene and is currently in police custody.
So much love for all those involved in this unimaginably harrowing experience!

This is just horrific.
According to the latest reports, 12 people were killed and dozens more injured in a shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theatre last night.
The suspect supposedly entered the theatre which was showing the newly released Dark Knight Rises film, ejected some type of tear gas and then proceeded to open fire on the audience.
The alleged shooter has now been identified as 24 year old James Holmes, and it is believed he acted alone.
Holmes is currently in police custody, and reportedly, his only previous interaction with the law was a 2011 traffic ticket.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved in this disturbing ordeal.

We can't believe it. We just can't believe it.
Officials at Virginia Tech have confirmed there is a gunman on campus and that at least one police officer has been shot. The school sent out alerts via their Twitter account, reporting shots being fired at the coliseum parking lot and that people should remain inside.
Aside from the police officer, there is a potential second victim being reported injured at the Cage lot. The suspect is "described as a white male wearing gray sweat pants, gray hat with neon green brim, maroon hoodie and backpack."
Here's hoping this person gets caught and fast! Please everyone stay safe!
UPDATE 10:55 AM: A lot of students at VT are tweeting to their loved ones of their safety, but also sharing further details about what is going on. One on campus source claims shots were heard being fired at two locations: Torgersen Hall and Performance Arts Building. Someone was apprehended and surrendered at the latter location, but no arrest was made.
We're also hearing that police activity around the school is growing, with a strong force assembling at Squires Student Center.

OMG! So scary!
A very brave little boy hid underneath his bed and called 911 as his family was being robbed at gunpoint in their home.
A criminal, said to be in his sixties, kicked open the back door of their Texas home after first being denied entry at the front entrance.
The man pulled a gun on the five residents and demanded money. When the boy overheard what was happening, he managed to call police and remained on the phone until help arrived.
At that point, the gunman had fled the scene, but he was later arrested in a pickup truck with a gun and stolen wallet in his car.
He was then arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
Wow, that must have been so terrifying for that entire family! And what a courageous and quick-witted little boy. His family definitely owes him a huge thank you.
