Former President Jimmy Carter's Cancer Has Stopped Spreading!

What a relief!

This is such good news!

On Tuesday, The Carter Center released a statement about former president Jimmy Carter's fight against cancer, and it looks like he just won a small victory!

The Center said:

"President Carter has received good news from his Winship Cancer Institute doctors. They tell him that recent tests have shown there is no evidence of new malignancy, and his original problem is responding well to treatment. Further tests will continue."

Basically, that means the disease has stopped spreading through the 91-year-old's body! And we're thrilled to learn that treatment is going well!

In fact, a spokesperson for the politician even admitted that the 39th president has been doing quite a bit of work, in spite of the diagnosis, adding:

"He remains active at The Carter Center and just last week spent a day building homes in Memphis with his wife, Rosalynn, for Habitat for Humanity."

We're so happy Jimmy seems to be getting better!

Garth Brooks Joins Jimmy Carter To Build Houses In Haiti

When it comes to building houses for those in need, no one does it like former President Jimmy Carter!

So of course when Garth Brooks wanted to help others he decided to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity!

He joined the hundreds of volunteers who have built over 100 homes in the Port-au-Prince area, hardest hit by the big Haiti earthquake.

People just think that because it's out of the news, the problem is over, but many are still living without proper homes!

Lea Michele 'Lends A Hand' To Habitat For Humanity

Lea Michele was recently at a charity event for Habitat for Humanity.

Valspar Paint and Habitat for Humanity were unveiling their Valspar Hands for Habitat campaign.

The program auctions off paint handprints of different celebrities to benefit Habitat for Humanity's disaster response programs.

Lea, an ambassador for the campaign, said:

"I am honored to be partnering with Valspar Paint and Habitat for Humanity to help support those who need our support following natural disasters to get on the pathway to recovery. Everyone deserves a safe and secure place to live and it's a great feeling to know that through Valspar Hands for Habitat, we are bringing hope and comfort to families in need."

We're so glad she's giving up her valuable time to help others.

We're also glad that they got Lea as an ambassador because her star power should definitely help to raise some serious cash for a great organization.

Way to go, Lea!

Go Blue!

Before beginning spring training in a few weeks, the Los Angeles Dodgers took advantage of their time off to give back to the city that supports them at every home game.

Members of the team (both past and present) put on their team colors and hopped in the Dodgers Community Caravan on Tuesday for a 2-day tour of the town, which sent them to support several charities like the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Mayberry Elementary School, the Los Angeles Regional Food Back and Five Acres.
