Watch Out, Hollywood! Hackers Are Coming After YOU!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTom CruiseTech TalkKreayshawn

hackers taking on hollywood

This is seriously not cool.

A group of hackers who refer to themselves as Hollywood Leaks have been breaking into celebs' cell phones and email accounts, and exposing photos, phone numbers, and other info online!

Some of the celebrities who have been targeted thus far include Footloose' Julianne Hough, Joey Fatone, Ashley Greene, and Kreayshawn, which we already heard about.

Hollywood Leaks EVEN went after Tom Cruise, and they released the screenplay for his next movie Rock of Ages!

Unfortunately, this hacking group isn't JUST after celebrities - they have an anti-semitic agenda:

"Attention Hollywood. We are Anonymous. We have been watching you. We have been listening to you. You have been allowed to run free too long. The time of Jew control media is over."

And here's what the group tweeted after being called out for their anti-semitic words:

"LOL at people calling us anti-semites, Its for the LULZ. Get over it."

We don't see how that's supposed to be funny AT ALL, and we're not impressed.

Hopefully they get caught soon and are appropriately punished.

Tennessee Takes Netflix Seriously! Sharing Login Info Can Land You Jail Time!

tennessee is hardcore about netflix

Maybe we'll seek out a Blockbuster next time we're in Tennessee, just to be safe!

You may THINK you're doing something benevolent by giving your Netflix login info to your BFF so they can catch up on Dexter before the next season premiere, but starting July 1st, you're actually committing a crime if you do this in Tennessee.

The Volunteer State's governor has signed a bill into law which says that using a friend's login for Netflix or the music service Rhapsody can land you up to a year in jail.

According to the law, if you're convicted of stealing $500 or less of entertainment by illegally distributing login information, you can get a year in jail and a $2,500 fine. If you steal over $500 of digital entertainment, the jail time and fines can be more severe.

Technically, the law is aimed at "hackers and thieves who sell passwords in bulk," but according to the Tennessean "its sponsors acknowledge it could be employed against people who use a friend’s or relative’s subscription." Scary!

Here's what the bill's House sponsor, Rep. Gerald McCormick, had to say about it:

“What becomes not legal is if you send your username and password to all your friends so they can get free subscriptions."

We'll just bring some DVDs with us if we want to watch movies next time we visit Tennessee. Our friend can find their own way to get up to speed with Dexter. Ha!

If U live in Tennessee, will U stop sharing Netflix info? To everyone else - do U think this law will expand to other states?

Tupac Is ALIVE…In New Zealand! LOLz!

tupac is alive jk

We always knew that if Tupac was still alive, he'd end up in New Zealand. Ha!

Okay, so Tupac's not ACTUALLY alive, but some hackers cracked PBS' website yesterday morning and posted a fake story about the late rapper on the PBS NewsHour section of the site.

Apparently, the group of hackers called LulzSec were upset about a recent Frontline program about WikiLeaks, and put up the Tupac story to get back at PBS.

Here's what Frontline executive producer David Fanning had to say about the program in question:

"From our point of view, we just see it as a disappointing and irresponsible act, especially since we have been very open to publishing criticism of the film…and the film included other points of view. This kind of action is irresponsible and chilling."

Guess these hackers have REALLY strong feelings about WikiLeaks!

Do U think a fake Tupac story was a good way for this hacker group to get back at PBS for their Frontline program???

GaGa Hacker Apologizes

teenage hacker apologizes to lady gaga from germany

A mature step in the right direction.

The eighteen year old young German who hacked into Lady GaGa's personal files to steal pictures and unreleased songs has come forward to apologize.

He wrote a letter to our wifey through a German paper, expressing his remorse for invading her privacy, as well as some other celebs like Justin Timberlake and Ke$ha. The letter reads:

"Dear Lady Gaga,

I am ashamed of what I have done. I did not think about the consequences…I realise that my ambition was a big mistake," he said. "I will apologise to everyone I caused problems for with my hacking."

After admitting he was "unbelievably sorry," his lawyer stepped in to defend his client, claiming that the boy knows he made a "mistake" and that he was just consumed by the thrill of hacking.

Hopefully, the thrill has passed and he has learned his lesson. Otherwise, we hope he likes prison.

Xtina Responds To Racy Pics Leaked

hackers-released-christina-aguileras-nude-pics-she-responds.jpg

And phew, girl is PISSED! Well, wouldn't you be?

This morning, some rather private and scandalous pictures were leaked of Christina Aguilera on the Internet. To be honest, we've seen much worse, but the fact of the matter is, her privacy was invaded and that's just not cool.

Her rep has just now released a statement on behalf Xtina, explaining not only the origin of the picture, but also sending out a stern message to the person responsible for leaking it. The statement reads:

"The photos of Christina Aguilera being leaked to the press were illegally obtained by a hacker who tapped into Christina's personal stylist's account. The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera's home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist. We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively. Their conduct is reprehensible."

Agreed!

The girl's had a hard enough couple of months without having to deal with this sort of indecency.

Make those hackers pay, BB!
