Thanks to Hallmark and the American Humane Association, recognition will be given to 'thousands of specially trained dogs giving comfort to people every day' on November 11.

Utilizing celebrities as judges, the AHA will host a televised contest which will award the best of the best with their very own red carpet gala in Beverly Hills.

Stars like Ewan McGregor and Betty White are set to judge as well as Whoopi Goldberg, Kristin Chenoweth, and Jillian Michaels!

So not only with this be an unbearably cute event, it will be a star-studded one too!

The celebs will judge in eight categories: law enforcement and arson dogs; service dogs; therapy dogs; military dogs; guide dogs; search and rescue dogs; hearing dogs, and emerging hero dogs for every day pets who do extraordinary things.

And what award show would be complete without honoring a very special person pet with tribute for their life achievement?

Rin Tin Tin, a WW1 rescue pup who later became an American movie star, will be given the show's legacy award. Accepting his award will be one of his grandpups.

Ouch! Martha Stewart Takes A Hit At Hallmark!

martha stewart has broadcast profits cut in half

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia posted a 47% third-quarter broadcast revenue decline on Wednesday now that her syndication at the Hallmark Channel has been cut in half. The company made a measly $5.8 million in broadcast, which is nothing considering they are used to twice the amount.

But ratings have improved since her programming block at Hallmark has been reduced and Martha, along with the network, are hoping to benefit in the long term.

Executive chairman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Charles Koppelman, said:

"We're certainly hopeful that the audiences are finding the Martha show and the other shows. At current ratings, we're still a little bit challenged," but if things move into the right direction, the show "will be profitable."

Yikes! And how long is that gonna take?!

Martha Stewart's Debut Is A Ratings Bomb

As The Martha Stewart Show premiered on the Hallmark Channel on Monday, she didn't have much of an audience.

Only 394,000 people tuned into watch Martha, which is down 50% from the repeats that network aired in the same period last year.

Although Hallmark is not making "rash judgments" due to the ratings!

"We do expect it will take time [for the audience to find it] and not be an overnight success," said Hallmark Channels president and CEO Bill Abbott. "We are planning for a few bumps in the road."

Ha. You got 'em!

Things Got Bloody Awful Over On Martha's New Show!

This is a pretty awful story, heightened by the fact that Martha Stewart doesn't even seem to care about her audience!

On monday, Martha's new show on The Hallmark Channel got up and running. The taping for the premiere episode didn't go off as planned. In fact, it ended up leaving one of the audience members covered in blood!

An eyewitness explained the story to sources, saying:

"As soon as they begin taping, midwest housewives are going crazy etc. when all of a sudden, everything stops. One of the cameras that was doing a sweep of the audience hit this woman in the head and she was GUSHING blood from her face. Martha was not amused, she sort of just looked annoyed the the show was even further delayed. The woman was rushed off and her family later removed and replaced by fillers.

…At the end martha had to read her "promo" lines for the camera, ie. "next time on martha stewart" etc… she's going through them and all of a sudden told her producer that she wouldn't say one of the lines because it was "LOW CLASS" literally, the line was "on the next martha…"

Martha was not amused?! One of her viewers is spewing blood like a geyser and the bitch is pissed about it?! Where is the sympathy, BB? This shiz would never fly on Oprah!

Martha Wants To Be The Next Larry King

Now that Martha Stewart is the queen of daytime programming on the Hallmark Channel, she would like to use her pull to become an interviewer!

"My favorite interviewers are Larry King [and] Barbara Walters, both of whom are kind of retiring," said Martha. "Who's going to take their place as the serious, great interviewer? I'm throwing my name in there, because I love to talk to people."

Although we'd consider her a little stoic, she is beginning her efforts during a hour-long, primetime special on September 19th, entitled Martha Stewart Presents. She will be interviewing fashion designers Donna Karan, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and J. Crew's Jenna Lyons.

And she hopes this series will recur once a month!

"I'm attracted to groups of people," she said, adding that the next episode could center on "the hottest, sexiest, young male movie stars — who are they really, how do they live, how do they cope?. . .There's also my favorite comedians and how they come up with their material, how are they so talented and verbose and so fantastic?"

Other possible interviewees on her list are "outstanding examples of success and intelligence" such as Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.

Martha's goal is "to interview [people] in a new, different and friendly way . . . I love to do this stuff, it's more a pleasure than an effort for me."
