Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton did the unthinkable — she lied right to Anna Wintour's face.
Vogue's editor-at-large Hamish Bowles says it all went down last year when everyone was speculating over who would be designing Kate Middleton's wedding gown:
"Anna looked Sarah in the eye – an experience that would jelly the marrow of bigger people – and asked, 'Are you designing Kate Middleton’s dress?' and Sarah said, 'I am not designing the dress.' So Anna was telling everyone, 'Sarah told me she’s not doing the dress, so she’s not doing the dress.' Now Anna admits Sarah did an amazing job."
What a brave soul!
Hamish also revealed the white dresses from the McQueen A/W 2011 collection was a cover up for the super covert design operation going on inside Buckingham Palace.
Sneaky, sneaky!

Victoria Beckham joined fellow Brits and Vogue editors Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles at Grand Central Station Wednesday afternoon to kick off the GREAT Britain tourism campaign.
Part of the campaign includes a Union Jack covered subway train, which Posh posed in front of wearing a dress from her A/W 2012 collection and sky high Louboutin platform heels.
We love the dress, but it looks like Victoria could really use a nap especially after such a busy/stressful Fashion Week.

Anna Wintour knows a thing or two about cruel and unusual punishment, just ask Vogue's editor-at-large Hamish Bowles.
A few months ago, Anna took it upon herself to sign him up for the X Factor and let him know via email.
Hamish writes in the October issue:

Vogue's Fashion's Night Out is really going big this year.
On top of filming a one-hour special that will air on CBS, the event is also the backdrop for two Gossip Girl episodes.
Filming for the episodes, which will air in September, started this week and will feature cameos by Vogue editors Hamish Bowles and Lauren Santo Domingo.
An Anna Wintour appearance would have made it so much better.
Will U be tuning in???

What's going on over at Vogue???
According to the newest issue's masthead, Andre Leon Talley has been stripped of his "Editor at Large" title and is now simply a "contributing editor".
Gasp!
As if that isn't enough, another source claims that both Grace Coddington and Hamish Bowles are the next to experience changes.
WTF does that mean Anna Wintour!?
Guess we'll just have to wait and find out!
