Ah, the folly of youth.

Teenagers have been to known to go to EXTREME lengths to get that buzz going on.

NyQuil. Cough medicine.

Now those ever resourceful darn kids have taken to a new method to get drunk and it's grosser then ever!

Plus it's dangerous.

Six young people have ended up in a Southern California hospital room with alcohol poisoning after chugging, get this, hand sanitizer!

Move on over cinnamon challenge - a new competitor is in town!

But seriously folks, drinking hand sanitizer is similar to taking a shot of hard liquor. The only difference is that hand sanitizer is incredibly MORE dangerous and even life threatening.

There's only one part of your body hand sanitizer should be used for and we'll give you a hint - it's not your mouth!!!

Drinking hand sanitizer is definitely not sanitary!!!

Last month, we were SO pleased and impressed with the Arcade Fire, who performed an intimate, surprise show for fans in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti after raising $1 million for post-earthquake relief for the country.

We're still very happy with them, although it sounds like they had a bit of a mishap when frontman Win Butler tried to create a makeshift drum right before a performance at a refugee camp in Haiti.

Here's what he had to say about it:

"I spotted two red plastic wastebaskets just inside the clinic gates. One was mostly empty, so I dumped it out into the other one and brought it over. I thumped it experimentally. Sounded fine. I handed it to Jeremy. He thumped it. Sounded fine."

Butler went on to admit that that the wastebasket was labeled "Biohazard Medical Waste," and he immediately returned it to where it belongs.

More from Butler regarding the aftermath of his mistake:

"…That's why hand sanitizer is so exciting."

We're just glad everything seems to be okay!

Let that be a warning to everyone! When creating makeshift drums, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS check for BIOHAZARD labels!

Excellent!

As we've reported, there's a lot of alcohol-based hand sanitizers currently on the market that are extremely ineffective.

However, a new product called TopSani has been released that is NOT alochol-based, and allegedly gives residual action for over four hours!

It also is effective in killing alcohol resistant bacteria and viruses (Cocci Bacillus, Staphylococcus Aureus, non lipophilic viruses) as well as prevent H1N1, MRSA, Avian Flu!

Wowsa! Sounds pretty heavy-duty to us!
