Harrison Ford has been cast to star as the man who help Jackie Robinson break the color barrier.

Ford will play Branch Rickey, the MLB exec who signed Robinson to a minor league deal.

Two years later, Robinson signed with the Dodgers and history was made.

For his innovation and other contributions to baseball, Rickey was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1967.

The Jackie Robinson flick is yet to be titled but it has landed a big fish in Ford.

Up and comer Chadwick Boseman is slated to star as Robinson.
