We hate to even mention the Westboro Baptist Church at all, but when we heard about this, we just couldn't pass it up!
A petition on the We The People website to legally recognize the "church" as a hate group has officially become the site's most popular petition in White House history.
In just 12 days, it has received over 270,000 signatures, which means it will be guaranteed a response from the White House (25,000 signatures within 30 days are required to achieve this). This comes just days after the disgusting group attempted to protest the funerals of those killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings.
