This hasn't been Jada Pinkett Smith's summer, has it?

Last month, she dealt with infidelity rumors (with co-star Marc Anthony, who hasn't exactly had the best summer himself) and now her show has been canceled!

What a bummer!

TNT canceled the medical drama HawthoRNe after three seasons. It's the second TNT series to get the axe, along with Men of a Certain Age. In a statement, the network said:

Even though Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith denied reports that they were splitting up, a new story is saying that Will WALKED IN on Jada and her recently single HawthoRNe co-star Marc Anthony!!!

What is going on over there?!

Although there are still three episode left to shoot this year on the TNT medical drama, HawthoRNe, all of the show's writers were recently sent home with full pay for the remained of the season!

Even more strangely, star Jada Pinkett-Smith's brother, Caleeb Pinkett, is said to have replaced ALL of them!

However, producer Miguel Melendez claims that this is not the case, and that the writing staff just happened to finish early.

He explains:

"Everyone finished their scripts early. The first two years we worked the entire time, the entire day, ’til the last day. This is a high-class problem. [Caleeb], as a producer, is tweaking the script, but he's not writing."

What on Earth?! That seems a little unusual to us!

And industry sources seem to agree!

According to a veteran TV executive producer:

"Well, then they're the first show in the history of recorded television that's ever finished early. Never happens. Never."

Hmm…sketchy, sketchy!

Especially since this isn't the first time we've heard about Jada's relatives coming in and making a stink!

We'll be very curious to see how the last three episodes of the third season turn out, indeed!

Here's some pretty unexpected but great news:

Marc Anthony has signed on to be a regular in the 3rd season of HawthoRNe!

He had had a few guest spots last season as a cop and had a bit of chemistry with Jada Pinkett-Smith, but she was too caught up in being preggers to give his character a chance!

Pretty cool when guest stars who are well liked get to come back and reprise what they've started, especially in a now recurring role!

We guess this show must be pretty decent!

Jada Pinkett Smith's medical drama, HawthoRNe, has been renewed for a third season!

The series received strong ratings all summer, and TNT announced this morning that ten more episodes are in the works!

It seems the Smiths have a lot going for them this year!

Congratulations are certainly in order!

Tisk, tisk!

Will Smith, who is a co-producer on his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's hit series, HawthoRNe, is apparently causing serious delays in production of the show's second season because he keeps demanding massive re-writes to the storylines!!

Sources claim:

"He is not currently shooting a movie, so he's been a constant on the set in recent weeks. He's been inserting his input and requesting so many changes to the script that it pushed back the production schedule tremendously and caused everything to spiral out of control. Everyone is praying for him to book a new movie so that he will go away."

Although he's certainly allowed to have some creative control if he's a producer, he should probably lay off! The first season did really well, why mess with that??

We're sure he'll get bored with playing producer and go shoot Men In Black III sooner or later!!
