Speaking to The Knot, celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss opened up about organizing the special occasion for CiCi and Russ not once, but three times.
Turns out, the 30-year-old songstress was initially supposed to say "I do" to her man in North Carolina — the state where he played baseball and football in college — but ultimately the duo decided to change venues because of the state's controversial bathroom bill.
In case you didn't know, HB2 notably forces transgender individuals to use the bathrooms associated with their biological sex, rather than the gender with which they identify.
