Get Ready To Say Goodbye To Your Favorite Girls! The HBO Show Will Reportedly End After Season 6!

Filed under: TV NewsLena DunhamAllison Williams

At least we still have some time left with these lovely ladies!

The good news is that we still have two full seasons to prepare ourselves!

On Tuesday, Variety confirmed that the end is not-so-near for Girls, revealing that the popular program will be finished after its sixth season.

While HBO has kept quiet regarding the wrapping rumors, sources say the network will announce the sad news on Thursday during the Television Critics Association press tour.

Now, we can't say we're super surprised at this news, since the show's creator-slash-star, Lena Dunham, has said in the past that she thinks American series tend to last longer than they should.

Plus, rumors have been circling that HBO's president, Michael Lombardo, has previously talked with the 29-year-old about only having six seasons of the dramedy.

But luckily for us, Girls won't be ending anytime soon. The fifth season doesn't even premiere until the end of February, so we have plenty of time to prepare our heartfelt goodbyes.

There was a ton of development in the storylines of our favorite Westeros residents throughout season 5 of Game Of Thrones — except, that is, for Bran Stark.

Some fans worry that we'll have to play catch up with Bran's story after he was notably left out of the last season. But the HBO series has us covered, with the help of a new narrative twist!

Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who plays the warg-in-training, has grown up a lot since we last saw Bran come face-to-face with the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven in the season 4 finale.

When the 16-year-old got the message that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss wanted to speak with him, he assumed the worst!

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he remembered:

Brace yourselves, one of Ned Stark's sons is coming back to Game Of Thrones – and we're not talking about Jon Snow!

While HBO is too busy teasing us on the fate of the fan favorite Night's Watchman, we at least know that Bran Stark is definitely returning to the fantasy show's upcoming sixth season!

And apparently Isaac Hempstead-Wright, who plays the warg-in-training, did a lot of growing up while sitting out season 5!

As evidenced by the first official photo of the character from HBO, the 16-year-old actor is now sporting shorter hair — and is around six feet tall!

We last saw Bran finally meeting the Three-Eyed Raven in the season 4 finale, who promised Bran he would "fly" once he learned to control his warging powers!

Does that mean he'll warg into one of Daenerys's dragons? We have no idea, but that would make for a pretty satisfying payoff — don't you think, George R.R. Martin?

Game Of Thrones Is The Most Pirated Show Of 2015 — Find Out The Rest Of TV's Top 10 Most Illegally Watched!

HBO tried to keep the pirates at bay for the season five of Game Of Thrones — but just like Jon Snow trying to run the Night's Watch, the efforts were futile!

The Emmy-winning fantasy series has for the FOURTH time in a row become the most pirated TV series of the year!

According to the piracy tracking site TorrentFreak, the season 5 finale had 14.4 million illegal downloads worldwide — more than any other episode of television!

The site also confirmed that GoT is by far the most downloaded show overall for the year, despite HBO's efforts to reduce illegal downloading!

The premium cable company aired episodes of the most recent season on the same day worldwide, trying to eliminate complaints from international fans who had to wait weeks after the U.S. airing.

HBO Now also made its debut, which allowed viewers to subscribe to the channel without the daunting commitment of cable subscription — though they had to watch on an Apple device.

Even with all the illegal viewing, Game of Thrones still had record ratings (around 20 million viewers per episode) and a record breaking sweep at the Emmys with 12 wins!

Other shows that made the most-pirated list include

Khaleesi Meets Reek! Emilia Clarke Shares Cute Selfie With Game Of Thrones Costar Alfie Allen!

Brace yourselves, Khaleesi/Reek shippers are coming.

The characters on Game Of Thrones are spread out all around Westeros, and fans will have to live with the fact that certain some of the cast will NEVER come face-to-face in a scene on the show!

But luckily for us, real life exists too — which means the actors who play your GoT favorites can actually be in the same room at the same time!

Like on Thursday when Emilia Clarke shared a Christmas selfie (above) with Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Grayjoy a.k.a. Reek on the HBO fantasy series!

She captioned it "Because Christmas is about finding your good side.." and her hashtag was "#hemayreekbuthesuretakesaprettypicture" … mmmhmmmmm!

We're all about this potential duo! Maybe Daenerys and Reek will never meet in the show (let's be honest, one of them will probably get killed before they have a chance to anyway) but they would make quite the cute pair IRL!

We hope to see more cast members at the opposite ends of Westeros get together!

Robert Durst Makes Extradition Deal With Feds — See Why The Jinx Is 'Eager' To Face Murder Charges In Los Angeles!

Robert Durst is heading back to the West Coast.

Earlier this year, the subject of the HBO docu-series The Jinx was charged with murder for the 2000 execution-style shooting of his college friend Susan Berman — allegedly to keep her from talking to investigators about the disappearance of his first wife in 1982.

Next summer, the New York real estate heir will return to El Lay to face the murder charges — and possibly the death penalty.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said the former fugitive agreed to be extradited from New Orleans by August 18, 2016.

According to court filings, the 72-year-old has struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors on a federal gun charge — which has kept him held in Louisiana since March.

One of Durst's lawyers, Dick DeGuerin, said in a statement that the extradition deal was:

"Part of our effort to have Robert Durst face and defeat the California murder charge as soon as possible. Bob Durst didn't kill Susan Berman and doesn't know who did… He is eager to go to trial and prove his innocence."

We're not sure what will come of this extradition agreement, but hopefully the truth comes out and justice will be served.

Mark Wahlberg & The Rock Are Being Sued For Stealing The Idea Of Ballers!

no title

Will the creator of Ballers please stand up?!

Recently, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and HBO are being sued for allegedly stealing the idea of the cable series!

According to legal docs, writers Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton claim they had the idea for the sports comedy way back in 2007.

The two say they were about to cut a deal with Wahlberg, Johnson, and their manager in 2009 until they asked for "Created By" credits.

Silas and Littleton believe there are way too many similarities between the two projects. Both are about the lives of football players on and off the field, both are set in Miami, and both center around African American athletes.

Furthermore, they claim the title Ballers was taken from one of their episode titles.

The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages.

According to a rep from HBO:

"We are confident the case has no merit."

The show has been renewed for a second season.
