Shia LaBeouf Pulls The Plug On His Anti-Trump Installation Over Reports Of Nearby Gunshots!

no title

It's been an uphill battle for Shia LaBeouf's protest against Donald Trump's presidency right from the start.

After violence erupted at the original New York City location of HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US, the actor moved the demonstration to a less populated space in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

But after threats of safety once again found its way to the installation on Thursday, LaBeouf decided to pull the plug.

The Trump protest webcam was turned off after it was reported gunshots were fired just one block away from the Historic El Rey Theater where the installation was set up.

Police say the shots were fired around 2:51 a.m. Thursday morning in downtown Albuquerque. No one with a gun was found at the location and officials cleared the scene.

According to the stream, no one was in front of the camera at that time anyway, so this incident could be totally coincidental.

However, Shia was not about to risk the safety of protesters, and shortly after tweeted that the stream was taken down:

Shia LaBeouf's Anti-Trump Protest Has Been Vandalized — See What Happened!

Cover your eyes, Shia LaBeouf!

The actor's HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US demonstration, in protest of Donald Trump's presidency, has encountered yet another problem.

Last week, the installation was kicked out of its New York venue due to violence and arrests, and was eventually relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

But it looks like even at a new location, the protest is still prone to some opposition — as someone spray painted the camera the entire demonstration is centered around!

At around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, a masked Trump supporter approached the live stream camera — in which protestors are invited to say "he will not divide us" — and unleashed a canister of red spray paint.

We're glad Shia wasn't there, for both their sakes, because this would have led to the actor unleashing quite the ass kicking.

Don't worry, someone has reportedly scraped off the paint. But we have a feeling this isn't the last time the demonstration will be hit with vandalism.

Shia LaBeouf Is Moving His Four-Year-Long Anti-Trump Live Stream To New Mexico!

So long, New York — Shia LaBeouf is headed to New Mexico!

Albuquerque, to be exact, after the artist and his collaborators — Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner — released a vicious statement on Saturday that called out the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC where the live stream installation of theirs had initially been set up.

In case you forgot, Shia and his team had put together a live stream at the museum that was to last all four years of Donald Trump's presidency, and function as an anti-Trump protest movement full of, well, 24 hours per day worth of video.

That idea ran into almost immediate problems with violence and multiple arrests, and was shut down by the museum after just three weeks had passed.

So, LaBeouf is moving it to New Mexico!

In the statement, the creators got pretty vicious about the NYC museum's lack of ability to put their ideas into play, writing:

Shia LaBeouf's Anti-Trump Installation Has Been Shut Down 4 YEARS EARLY Due To Violence & Multiple Arrests!

Back to the drawing board, Shia LaBeouf.

Last month, the American Honey actor launched a live-stream installation called HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US in protest of Donald Trump's presidency.

The installation invited citizens to say the words "he will not divide us" into a camera mounted outside New York's Museum of the Moving Image.

Shia originally planned for the installation to play out over the next four years, but it looks like the cord was cut in less than a month's time!

No, not by POTUS — but by The Museum itself over concerns of violence and public safety!

Naturally, the open invitation prompted some alt-right Trump supporters to troll the protest with bigotry, causing the passionate actor to assault them — and get arrested.

And apparently, the Museum of the Moving Image wasn't aware of the drama that would unfold with this protest, so they shut that shit down! The museum posted on its website:
