Fish Pedicures Could Cause Wound Infections!

fish-pedicures-unhealthy.jpg

Eeewwwwww. Plus… poor fishies!

In 2008, pedicures using inch-long, toothless Garra ruffa fish soared in popularity throughout the UK and US. The 'doctor' fish would softly nibble all the dead, nastiness off of participant's feet, leaving soft, new skin behind.

BUT according to a recent study conducted by the U.K.’s Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science and published by the US Center For Disease Control, using fish for the above beauty purpose is not only potentially harmful for humans, but also elicits concern for the humane treatment of animals.

Brooklyn Decker and her hot body are back on the cover of Women's Health!

In the May issue, the model actress dishes on husband Andy Roddick, loving her body and how she stays healthy.

Here are some HIGHlights:

On hubby Andy Roddick:

"Being married to Andy has given me a new appreciation for my body. He’s taught me that it’s not how thin you are that matters. It’s how your body performs, how it endures wear and tear."

On trying to learn tennis with Andy:

"He tried to give me a lesson once, and I ended up hitting all the tennis balls over the fence and smashing my racket because I was so frustrated. I told him, ‘You don’t teach me how to play tennis, and I won’t teach you how to model in a bathing suit.’ And so far, it’s worked."

On her food philosophy:

"I try not to think about foods that are too fattening or too sugary. I always think about why it’s important to eat the best foods. By not obsessing over the bad, I tend to stick with the good."

Sounds like a good philosophy to us!

Be sure to check out more pics from Brooklyn's shoot (below)!

When you put your hands under those UV lights to dry your amazing gel nails, you could potentially set yourself up for cancer!

Turns out, the time required to set the gel (10 minutes) is longer than the standard mani's time and that kind of exposure to UV radiation could potentially be dangerous.

Holland's Next Top Model Winner Wins Lawsuit Against Elite

ananda marchildon hollands next top model sloggi elite model management lawsuit

Former Holland's Next Top Model winner Ananda Marchildo has come out victorious in a lawsuit against Elite Model Management.

As part of her grand prize, the Top Model winner scored a 3 year contract with the super agency, only to have it cut short because her hips were "too big".

Since Elite didn't live up to their half of the bargain, Marchildo sued and on Wednesday a the Amsterdam District Court agreed the modeling agency couldn't order her to lose weight. As a result, Ananda was awarded $86,500 in damages plus interest in lawyer fees.

Ananda said of her legal victory:

I'm proud to be a good role model, that's how I see it, for young girls. If you can't be a model for high fashion, you're still beautiful. I'm proud to be able to show that just because a modeling agency wants that, it doesn't mean that if you have a bigger size you're done for.

And 'done for' she is not! Sloggi already hired the model to do some work with them (as U can see above).

You go, girl!
