When I make my morning smoothies, I add Barleans Lignan Flaxseed Oil for my daily dose of “cholesterol-happy” omega-3 fatty acids. I like this brand because it has been cold-pressed in an expeller to retain all of the beneficial nutrients. You can also try their Lignan Flax Capsules for the same awesome health benefits.

The University of North Texas is saying FU to the freshman 15 with an all-vegan dinning hall! This'll give our vegan friend Ellen DeGeneres something to dance over!!
UNT's bitch'n dinning hall is called "Mean Greens"! Cute right??
The Mean Greens page on the university website says:
“Vegan dining is not just for vegans but for all who seek to eat a balanced diet that offers a host of health benefits. In addition to tasting good and being good for you; vegan dining is sustainable and helps to reduce our carbon footprint which is good for the earth.”
We checked out Mean Green's menu, and everything sounds nastygood!!
Why can't they open a dinning hall for us here in El Lay??

There are so many benefits to having a pet.
And now, psychologists say that there are emotional benefits to having a pet. So much so, that the benefits can be equal to human friendships.
217 people answered a questionnaire asking about self-esteem, loneliness, illness, depression, and activity level. Of those questionnaires, 56 dog owners had identical answers in part one in which their pets "complemented rather than competed" with human friends. These owners had the greatest emotional returns.
The study says:
"In fact … we repeatedly observed evidence that people who enjoyed greater benefits from their pets also were closer to other important people in their lives and received more support from them, not less."
Pet owners also experienced greater physical fitness and exercise and this is because researchers say:
"Belongingness is considered a central need for people. If pets are 'psychologically close' to their owner, they may provide well-being benefits for the owner just like any other person."
If this totally inspired you to get a pet, go to your local shelter and adopt and reap all the benefits of loving a pet!
