The NBA star and Kim Kardashian were expected to be in court in El Lay today at 8:30 AM PT for a settlement conference, but considering that a source saw Humphries looking "extremely upset" in New York City at 1 AM today, theres no way in hell Kris is going to make it to California in time for the hearing.

Lindsay Lohan's fate is in the hands of an "incompetent" lawyer and the prosecution in her lying-to cops-case is supposedly pushing for the MAXIMUM penalty AKA 240 days in the slammer…

So what expert legal move is her lawyer Mark Heller expected to make during TODAY's court hearing in LA?!

According to an insider, Mark has NOT yet informed the prosecution OR the judge about bringing in an outside lawyer to assist him in representing Lindsay (if he doesn't have additional legal assistance, Lindsay will have to sign a waiver stating Mark is incompetent in California law), despite rumors that LA lawyer David Wohl has been chosen by Lindsay's DAD for the task…

BUT, some believe Mark WILL bring in Wohl — or another lawyer — LAST MINUTE and request Lindsay's trial be postponed so that the new lawyer can get up to speed!

Welcome to the latest saga of Lindsay Lohan's legal woes!

Attorney Mark Heller represented an absent LiLo in court on Friday to handle concerns before the actual trial on March 18.

Facing probation violation and jail-time, Linds' upcoming trial is based on the misdemeanor charges stemming from her June PCH crash, where it is believed that she was driving recklessly and then lied to the police. If the judge determines she violated her probation from the 2011 theft case, it's NOT gonna be a happy day for Lohan!

In court Friday, a new judge appeared in the saga — James R Dabney.

OH HAI JUDGE DABZ!

Off-put by Heller's incompetence (he noted that Heller has no background in criminal law, much less California law), Dabz says Linds either has to get another lawyer or come in to court to waive her right to a competent CA lawyer. The judge continued his reasoning behind this by saying if Heller wanted to raise concerns, he didn't have to raise formal motions. And basically, everything Heller was doing — such as the paperwork — was completely out of whack!

Legal issues are NOT looking so hot for Lindsay Lohan.

Besides losing her lawyer, Lindsay's ex-assistant, Gavin Doyle, has now been subpoenaed to testify in the troubled actress' hearing for lying to police officers.

This would all be in Lindsay's favor, except for the fact that Gavin is the same assistant that tattled on her to the cops and played a MAJOR role in her current issues with the law.

Gavin was the one to call out Lindsay's lies when she told cops that she WASN'T behind the wheel during her car crash on Pacific Coast Highway in June.

Her defense is starting to sound like an even BIGGER flop than The Canyons, but despite the rock-solid case city attorneys are building against her, Linds refuses to take a plea deal and insists that she never lied!

However, we won't know Lindsay's fate until March 1.

Good lord, this is just BEYOND tragic.

Edward Furlong has found himself behind bars yet again yesterday after the former child star violated the restraining order put in his place by his girlfriend, whom he has been arrested for beating on multiple occasions in the last few months alone!

Worse yet, this all comes after his three-year probation - which stemmed from him violating a restraining order placed against him by his now ex-wife, Rachael Kneeland - was REVOKED this past December, in lieu of his October scuff-up with current girlfriend!

We know! It's difficult to keep up with!

Paparazzi are about to become an extinct breed in Hawaii.

In a push to legalize the Steven Tyler Bill, the Aerosmith frontman along with Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, and Ozzy Osbourne and his fam have come out in support for the anti-paparazzi bill.

While many stars have submitted written statements to advocate for the new law, Steven did not only suggest and become the face of the bill, but he is also expected to be in attendance during its hearing today and testify for its enforcement.
