Congrats!

Baylor University quarterback Robert Griffin III took college football's top honor this weekend and won the 2011 Heisman Trophy on Saturday.

The QB, who threw for almost 4,000 yards this season, is the 32nd player of that position to be honored with the award since it's inception in 1935.

This year's most outstanding player in college football won after he received 405 first-place votes and 1,687 total points, compared to 1,407 points garnered by runner-up Andrew Luck, a quarterback for Stanford.

This is kind of lame.

So yesterday, Reggie Bush handed back his Heisman Trophy because it was the right thing to do. He was a schmuck, he acknowledged it and so now it was time to move on.

As this has never happened before (an athlete returning the award) there really was no regulations to dictate what would happen next. Many assumed that the honor would go to the runner up from 2005, Vince Young. However, according to a statement from The Trustees of the Trust, that isn't happening. Their statement reads:

"As a result of Reggie Bush's decision to forfeit his title as Heisman winner of 2005, the Trustees have determined that there will be no Heisman Trophy winner for the year 2005."

What?! Stoopid! And really unfair!

If this were the Miss America pageant, this would never fly! (Just ask Vanessa Williams!)

Fair is fair!

In what is turning out to be a rough year for Reggie Bush, the New Orleans Saints running back and former man servant to Kim Kardashian released a statement today, conceding that he will forfeit his Heisman Trophy!

This is the first time in the college football award's history that a recipient has returned the award. However in light of the
"improper benefits" Reggie received while at UCA, it wasn't like he had that much of a choice.
