Helen Hunt joined the haute Oscars crowd in Hollywood tonight, but her gown was anything but!

The actress wore a really wrinkled navy H&M dress which she paired with lots of silver jewels and a matching clutch.

Really? Out of alllllll the gowns at her disposal to wear on the biggest night of the year she chose H&M!?

Talk about a missed opportunity!

Helen Hunt classed up the Global Green USA’s Pre-Oscar Party on Wednesday night.

Sticking with the green theme, the actress wore a sleeveless Dolce & Gabbana teal dress that was just tight enough to be age-appropriate.

Green and gold jewels and peep toe heels finished off her look.

Think Helen will pull out all the stops on Sunday or go with something safe???

Someone didn't get the Oscar gold memo.

Despite wearing the wrong metallic, Helen Hunt still looked nice in Dolce & Gabbana Monday afternoon at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon held at the Beverly Hilton.

She paired her draped, knee-length dress with nude Jimmy Choo heels, which was a total misstep.

Another problem we have is with Helen's makeup. If we didn't know any better, we'd say she was posing as Teresa Palmer's mum!

Oh well, better to make these mistakes now and not at the actual Academy Awards, right?

Anne Hathaway won her very first SAG Award for her ah-mazingly awesome work in Les Misérables!

And she had to climb over the the smiling faces of Sally Field, Helen Hunt, Nicole Kidman, and Maggie Smith to get there, too!

The recently married actress was positively RADIANT as she took the stage to accept her award and wax poetic about her dental insurance!

Those gals' careers are filled with a multitude of successes — we're sure they were beyond happy to let the young newlywed take home the Golden Globe!

As long as you're not glittering like a Christmas tree, you're good.

Helen Hunt did the sparkle thing just right in her silver Dolce & Gabbana gown with bands of shimmering sequins along its length.

Her blonde hair was styled in a no-fuss half-up/half-down and her makeup was prettily low-key.
