Sources reveal that due to Charlie Sheen's recent "vile" behavior, which includes some devastating treatment of their dogs, Denise Richards has "increased her security" at home to protect her family.

Calling Charlie a "mad man", sources close to Denise say that this animosity between them is nothing new, but after all the verbal attacks he's been making against her on Twitter, calling her things like "traitor and loser whore," she feels its time to take the necessary actions to keep him out of her home for good. The source added:

"Denise has learned how to deal with the name calling, but once you start tweeting pictures of yourself with knives and saying you wished someone would die it's a totally different game. Denise is no longer angry — she's scared."

We'd be scared too if we were in danger of being in any kind of close proximity to him. The man is unstable and he's proven before that he can be violent.

Besides, nothing is more important than keeping precious Sam and Lola safe, even if it is from their own father.
