You Don't Mess With Ireland, Prince!

prince gets sued

Looks like Howard Stern isn't the only one who's got issues with Prince right now!

After canceling a 2008 concert at Croke Park in Ireland, MCD Productions has filed a lawsuit against Prince for 2.2 million euros, plus interest.

Apparently, the compensation amount mentioned (above) was decided in Ireland's High Court, but the singer never paid up.

Here's what was written about it in court documents:

"MCD seeks this Court's recognition of judgment of the High Court of Ireland entered against the Defendant Prince Rogers Nelson on March 26, 2010 in the amount of €2.2 million [euros].

“The judgment resulted from an action commenced by MCD following Prince's cancellation of a concert that was scheduled to take place on June 16, 2008 in Ireland."

"…there is now due, owing and unpaid on the Judgment the sum of €2,200,000.00, together with interest at the legal rate of 8% pursuant to applicable Irish law from and after March 26, 2010."

Sounds like you may have no option but to pay up, Prince!

Let this be a warning to artists out there who may be reading this: NEVER CANCEL A CONCERT IN IRELAND!

Do U think Prince should pay up? Or should he fight this?

Jude Law's Failed Marriage Gets Published

There’s nothing worse than having all your intimate secrets available for two-day shipping at Amazon.com.

This September, those of us who loved watching Jude Law involved in a troubled romance in the movie Closer, will get to read all about his failed 6 year marriage with Sadie Frost in her autobiography Crazy Days.

Law has attempted to stop the book from being published, without much success. He brought her to London’s High Court, where he demanded certain passages about their children and marriage be removed. The former couple settled at High Court, but we know he’s still not happy.

At the beginning of their marriage, Law had no money and borrowed from Frost to pay for the bus. By the end of their marriage, she was admitted to a psychiatric facility in California due to mental issues stemming from severe post-natal depression.

Other than former penniless Jude, we’re curious to hear what details were in the book that he so desperately didn’t want the world to read.

Thoughts?
