Do people really believe this stuff?!

There's a viral hoax making the rounds on the Internet that just may convince some gullible consumers to destroy their new iPhone 7!

In response to Apple's infamous announcement last week that they are indeed removing the headphone jack in favor of wireless ear buds, a hack is being passed around to get the jack back.

The hoax says the headphone jack is still in the phone if you just make a simple modification. With a power tool.

It's pretty ridiculous — but apparently it has some people believing it!

Beetlejuice 2 ISN'T Happening After All! Get The Deets On The Heartbreaking Hoax!

Filed under: Film FlickersOops!Sad SadTim BurtonNostalgia

But what if we say his name three times? Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE!

Ugh. Well that's a let-down.

On Friday, reports were circling that Tim Burton had officially signed off on Beetlejuice 2, and we were totally thrilled about it!

However, it looks like Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton won't be reprising their roles, because it turns out the news was completely fake!

Photo: Here's What Tim's ACTUALLY Working On Right Now!

The director's rep revealed that the sequel isn't in development after all!

We know this seems confusing, since the initial report featured a quote from the filmmaker himself. However, the 57-year-old's team says those comments were actually made up!

Bummer! We were so excited. Buuuuut just because it's not in development now doesn't mean a followup will never happen, right?!

We can dream anyway!

#PizzaRat Revealed To Be An Elaborate Hoax? Just Like These Other Viral Fakers…

Filed under: New YorkFoodCrazzzzyRatGIFsViral: AnimalsViral: NewsControversy

Well, this is just disappointing!

According to a report in Gothamist, a performance artist may have trained a rat and released it in the New York Subway system to create last year's infamous Pizza Rat video.

Apparently, a struggling New York actor named Eric Yearwood revealed to the website that he was paid $200 to star in a separate viral rat video by a woman named — of course — Zardulu. The way Yearwood tells it, Zardulu is a New York-based performance artist and has trained and used rats in other videos, as well.

And the people who filmed and released the "spontaneous" videos can't be found for comment either??

No, Pizza Rat, no!!! We celebrated you with Halloween costumes and undying Internet love, and THIS is the thanks we get?! Why, you little… rat!

In honor of Pizza Rat maybe not being the most true thing ever any more, we give you some other notable viral stories — including one involving ANOTHER rat — that turned out to be hoaxes (below)!!!
