Look out boys! There's a new name coming to the NFL, and it ain't Manti Te'o! It's Carrie Underwood!
The American Idol country superstar will be replacing Faith Hill this season to do the opening theme song for NBC's Sunday Night Football, and according to executive producer Fred Gaudelli she was the only one they had eyes for!
Carrie expressed her excitement for big move in a statement, saying:

Sexism sucks, and we're pretty offended by a certain Chicago Blackhawks hockey player named Duncan Keith and the things he said to a sports reporter.
Let's set the scene: Vancouver just scored a pretty easy and flawless goal, so Duncan decided to hit the scorer with his hockey stick like a little baby. The thing is, there was no injury and no call on it. In fact, Vancouver still went on to win.
Duncan was pretty lucky to get that hissy fit in for free, so he quit while he was ahead, right? WRONG. Karen Thompson, a reporter from Vancouver, brought it up in an interview later. This is how he reacted:

Boston has been on lockdown ever since the suspects who allegedly planted the bombs have been on the loose.
But since suspect #1, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot by police and later died in the hospital after he gunned down a campus cop at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology last night, suspect #2, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is still roaming around and is causing everyone to stay inside.
This manhunt is affecting everyone, and the Boston Bruins are no exception, as they have canceled practice in order to stay safe.
The team tweeted:

After the NHL's awful lockout, we're glad to see that they're focusing on something within the sport that actually matters other than greed: they're joining the You Can Play Project, which mission is the end of homophobia in sports!
Patrick Burke, the son of the former Maple Leafs GM, heads up the project as his brother Brenden Burke was part of the Miami University hockey team when he revealed he was gay. He started the project in Brenden's honor, as he tragically passed away in a car accident shortly after his announcement.
You might remember the original launch of the group, and its mantra (above): if you can play, you can play. Talent should be the only thing that matters!
Here's what Patrick said about the official partnership with the NHL:

How cool is this???
Prince William and Kate Middleton spent some time at the Donald Dewar Leisure Centre in Glasgow earlier today, and because they were at a recreation center, the Duke decided to play England's version of hockey.
Unlike ice hockey, the sport is actually played on a field using wooden sticks and a ball that is very similar to a golf ball.
But if you're serious about playing British hockey, you wouldn't wear a suit and dress shoes like the Prince did because you can end up catching a hockey ball to the shin and the game would soon be over! LOLz
Ch-ch-check out the Duke getting his hockey on (above)!!

Hockey is a brutal sport, and we hope that players know what they're getting into when they decide to suit up.
During a playoff game, Ronny Keller, a Swiss ice hockey player, was injured so badly that he has been left paralyzed — permanently. The damage to his fourth thoracic vertebra is not reversible.
