Sounds like damage control to us, but whatevs!
There's been quite a bit of speculation regarding why Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini were dropped from The Talk panel after its first season, with rumors that Julie Chen, who is married to CBS CEO Les Moonves, orchestrated the axing, but CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler has finally spoken out on the issue, and attributes it all to growing pains!

At least he has some sympathizers!
This week, Rod Blagojevich was sentenced to 14 years in prison for all his dirty dealings and while most of us feel like he got exactly what he deserved, Holly Robinson Peete says she feels bad.
On her Twitter, she explained:

Such an unbelievable shame how this entire thing was handled!
Holly Robinson Peete is opening up for the first time, in detail, about being booted from the second season of The Talk, the show she helped launch last year, and although she doesn't specifically mention co-host Julie Chen, who also happens to be married CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves, as the main factor in she and Leah Remini being replaced with Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood, she certainly alludes to it!

It's so spooky how realistic this looks!!
Sporting a HIGHlarious diamond grill, face tattoos, and sleeve tats, former Talk co-host Holly Robinson Peete dressed up as Weezy himself, Lil Wayne for Halloween.
Arriving at the 18th Annual Dream Halloween event in Los Angeles, Holly even had Wayne's swagger as she walked the red carpet.
Hands down, best costume yet!

Get. It. Gurl.
After that whole debacle with The Talk, we are SO happy that Leah Remini will be coming back to TV.
She just landed a talent development deal with ABC where the studio will develop a comedy project that she will star in and produce.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Leah needs a place where she can SHINE and hopefully this new project will let her do just that.
Just give Leah her own sitcom/talk show already!
Meanwhile, Leah's pal and former co-host on The Talk Holly Robinson Peete also booked her first post-Talk gig with an arc on CBS' Mike and Molly.
Congrats, ladies! This makes us happy! We weren't too happy the way CBS left you two high and dry. Better things for you lie ahead!

Holly Robinson Peete took her beautiful kids, twins RJ and Ryan, Robinson, and youngest son Roman to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch where it seems all the celebs spent their weekend.
The family browsed the patch's huge selection of pumpkins while pulling a yellow cart to gather all their selections.
Holly was seen taking pictures of her kids as they walked around to all the games and attractions.
We bet the Peetes are going home with a whole bunch of pumpkins! Looks like everyone had a great time!

Looks like viewers didn't think it was a very big deal that Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete bounced from the show, as it's holding steady in numbers — almost exactly like the ratings it had last month with the two still there.
With Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete off the show, and Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Molly Shannon, Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood leading the chat fest, here’s where we’re at after the first two days of the show’s second season: The Talk delivered a 1.8 household rating on Tuesday and a 1.9 on Wednesday.
That’s right in line with the last full month of The Talk ratings in July (1.9 average) and up slightly from the last in-season month in May (1.7 average). So no big audience surge for the new Talk panel, but no drop off either.
We loved the idea of Molly joining the cast, so we're pleased to hear that others are enjoying her as well!
The show is just as good! Love it!
