Back in September, Joaquin Phoenix was ALL over the news, until we learned that his "documentary" I'm Still Here was fake and then nobody went to see it.

For those of you out there who haven't had a chance to check out Joaquin's "doc" on Instant Netflix, you MAY get another chance to see Phoenix return to real acting in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Joaquin is up for the role of Honest Abe's mentor in director Timur Bekmambetov's film.

We think this would be a great move for Joaquin!

Vampire killing is always a solid way to jump start someone's career again except for Wesley Snipes.

Vampires beware!

Earlier this month, we learned that a bunch of actors were screen testing for the role of Honest Abe, including some unknowns.

Now, it looks like Fox and director Timur Bekmambetov have found their Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter star, and his name is Benjamin Walker!

Pretty impressive that Walker was able to beat out the likes of Adrien Brody and Timothy Olyphant for the role, especially since he's been doing mostly Broadway work lately.

Congratulations, Benjamin! Give those vampires hell!

Last month, we reported that Eric Bana was in talks to star as Honest Abe in Timur Bekmambetov's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Looks like Bana may be out, because a list of actors who will be screentesting for the role of Abe has been released, and the Hulk star was nowhere to be seen.

Actors that are on the Lincoln list include Adrien Brody, Josh Lucas, Timothy Olyphant, and relatively unknown actors Benjamin Walker, James D'Arcy, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

We're not 100% sure which of these guys we think would be best, although Adrien Brody COULD be an inneresting choice.

As we already know, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will be released on June 22, 2012.

What we DIDN'T know is that Inception's Tom Hardy may very well join Honest Abe on his treacherous journey!

Hardy has been offered the role of Henry Sturges, a vampire who helps Lincoln on his quest.

If he turns down the role, maybe they should just offer Hardy the role of Abraham Lincoln himself! Who wouldn't want to see sexy, honest Abe take down vampires?
