Ben won’t be headed to college at Brown University, but he will be getting a degree…

…an honorary degree!

The actor and director has been selected to receive an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts (DFA) from the prestigious school.

We can't wait to see him donning the classic robe and cap as he accepts the degree next month for his achievements in cinema.

We have a feeling he’ll actually make that dorky cap look DAYUM good!

He might not have gotten an Oscar for directing, but he’s getting his degree!

We think that’s just as good!

With a degree, or without, Manolo Blahnik will always shut it down in the shoe game!

The footwear designer will receive an honorary degree from the Vice-Chancellor of Bath Spa University on July 21 in recognition of his incredible contribution to the fashion industry.

Blahnik says of his degree:

"It is a great honor for me to be associated with such a wonderful institution which is Bath Spa University. I really adore Bath and everything that is there."

Manolo reportedly fell head-over-heels with the university when he visited the school with Vogue's creative director Grace Coddington in 1983.

And now, decades later, the luxury shoe maker has fallen even deeper in love with Bath Spa now that he's been given a special tribute.

Mr. Blahnik is surely going down in history as one of the best fashion pioneers!

Well deserved!

Stephen Colbert's alma mater, Northwestern University, will be giving the Colbert Report host an honorary degree during the school's commencement on June 17.

Other folks who have received such an honor from Northwestern include computer science expert Barbar Liskov, death penalty/international criminal law scholar William Schabas, and opera singer Jessye Norman.

Those OTHER recipients may have some pret-ty impressive sounding jobs….but did any of them write, produce, AND star in Strangers with Candy? Didn't think so!

Such an honor!

Iconic music producer George Martin, who is often referred to as the "fifth Beatle" thanks to his work producing all but one of the band's albums, is set to receive an honorary degree from Oxford University!

He says:

“I am delighted to receive this accolade from Oxford University. I’ve been lucky enough to work with brilliant collaborators from many fields of music and the arts in my life, and am honoured to be joining the distinguished ranks of those receiving honorary degrees at Oxford.”

Well, we certainly think it's well-deserved, given the amount of wonderful music he's contributed to bringing into the world!
