Yasss!

Take note, Kirk Cameron. This is what it looks like when someone uses faith to bring people hope and unity, not to scare people into blind obsequiousness.

Beyoncé returned home on Friday, along with Blue Ivy Carter and mom Tina Knowles Lawson, to deliver a message of love.

"We had to get out of there so I called Chick-fil-A, now that sounds kind of funny. I ordered two grilled chicken burritos with extra egg and a boat. And can you believe that one of the managers of Chick-fil-A, she sent her husband to pick us up and we are so grateful."

Joel Osteen Finally Opens His Megachurch To Hurricane Harvey Refugees After Being Shamed On Twitter

no title

Everyone is lending a helping hand during Hurricane Harvey — even if they have to be shamed into it.

When people noticed gazillionaire televangelist Joel Osteen hadn't opened the doors to his Lakewood megachurch, there was an understandable outrage online.

The Houston pastor had said the church was inaccessible due to severe flooding, a claim that seemed to be contradicted by the numerous photos people were taking from the outside, not to mention the official maps of safe roads in the area.

After the barrage of comments questioning his values, Osteen responded that the church was going to be a big help after all this was over, by "helping our fellow citizens to rebuild their lives."

Well, on Tuesday Osteen finally opened the doors to the public, announcing on Twitter:

Joel Osteen Gets DRAGGED On Twitter For Not Opening Megachurch To Hurricane Harvey Refugees!

Filed under: TwitterViral: NewsGotta Have Faith

UPDATE 7:55 P.M. EST: According to TMZ, church officials are now blaming the closure on flooding, saying Lakewood is "inaccessible." Needless to say, bullshit is being called on that excuse as eyewitnesses and now-viral photos report no apparent flooding around the facility (as seen in the tweets below).

In case you're not familiar with Joel Osteen, he's a very, VERY wealthy pastor based in Houston, Texas.

His empire of best-selling books, a Sirius XM radio show, and televised sermons have given him an estimated net worth north of $50 million.

When southeast Texas was hit by unprecedented flooding from Hurricane Harvey, Osteen tweeted:

And that's all he did.

People were quick to note on Twitter that he has not donated any money (that anyone can tell anyway), but more importantly he didn't open the doors of his 16,800-seating megachurch in Lakewood to refugees, despite it being spared from flooding and easily accessible.
