WHAT?! Lexus Creates Real Life Back To The Future-Style Hoverboard!

Lexus is developing an actual hoverboard.

OMG! Incredible!

Lexus totally made a hoverboard! Like, we're talking a hoverboard that's straight out of Back to the Future Part II! And no, we don't mean the movie prop!

The transportation manufacturer built a real-life FUNCTIONING hoverboard! It's literally a skateboard. Without any wheels. That floats. That you can ride. And we CAN'T even.

As of right now, it's only a prototype — powered by superconductors, magnets, and other fancy sciencey gadget things — so unfortunately, Perezcious readers, it's not exactly for sale (yet).

BUT you can check it out in this cool video (below)!

You Can Finally Own The Hoverboard From Back To The Future II! But There Is A Catch!

Filed under: Film FlickersMichael J. FoxGIFs

hoverboard back to the future

The hoverboard from Back to the Future II is on sale soon, and you can own it too!

However, the only way you'll probably be able to afford it is if you sell your flux capacitor!

Marty McFly's flying modern variation on the skateboard (that's supposed to come out next year…get on that science!) has been valued around $17,000 and $26,000.

The iconic prop will be going up for auction, among other classic film memorabilia, at the Vue cinema in London's Westfield shopping mall.

We hope Michael J. Fox buys it and it returns to Marty once and for all.

Unless that disrupts the time-space continuum.
