Amber Rose Opens Up About Struggling With Depression, Panic Attacks, & Cheating Exes In Her New Book!
Amber Rose is one tough lady.
But it hasn't always been easy for the 32-year-old. In excerpts from her new book, How To Be A Bad Bitch – which have been shared by DailyMail — the bodacious beauty offers up advice on how to stand up for yourself.
However, she also revealed her past mental health issues, explaining that she's suffered from depression:
"Depression definitely runs in my family so maybe it was hereditary. Or maybe it's just how I'm wired."
But, sadly, that's not all the model has a history of struggling with. She also remembers having her first panic attack at the young age of twelve, writing:
"I also had my first panic attack at age 12. Not that I knew what it was at the time. All of a sudden my peripheral vision started to vanish. Everything I looked at seemed a little off. My mom took me to the doctor. They couldn't find anything wrong with me but I started having this feeling frequently, like everything was suddenly animated and I was in a different world. I learned to start talking myself down. Amber, this is real life. You're not in a movie right now. Everything is fine, just calm down. This is no big deal. With a little practice I got to where I could manage my anxiety. I eventually went to a doctor who diagnosed me with panic attacks and gave me medication for moments when I was having severe anxiety."
Woah. That's terrifying for anyone to experience, let alone a young girl.
But, the momma-of-one has some words of wisdom for anyone who's had similar attacks, saying:
"If you're feeling anything like this I definitely recommend that you go to a doctor. Like me, if you've been living with a problem like this for years, you might be amazed how much better you can feel."
The lovely lady also shared some secrets about how to have a healthy love life, even though she hasn't had the best of luck herself.
