After North Carolina passed legislation that threatened the equal treatment of LGBT citizens of the state last week, all hope looked lost as gay rights supporters likely faced a long legal battle ahead just to secure basic rights.

But then something interesting happened…

North Carolina's attorney general Roy Cooper — who was one of the men named in the lawsuit brought on by gay rights groups over the bigoted law — has indicated the state will NOT defend its new law in court, calling it discriminatory and a "national embarrassment."

Cooper noted that business leaders are not fond of the terrible law, saying:

China Is Finally Ending Its Controversial One-Child Policy After 36 Years!

What good news for international human rights!

For the past 36 years, China has been implementing one of the most controversial laws in the world to fight overpopulation… but the rule was officially abolished early Thursday morning.

1979's One-Child Policy made it so Chinese couples in urban living conditions were legally only allowed to have a single kid. But in an effort to make it so the current generation isn't too sparse, families all throughout the country may now have two children.

China's Communist Party made the announcement, calling the preexisting law a success, saying they prevented an estimated 400 million births in the span of nearly four decades — which is about 5.4 percent of the world's entire population!

Dennis Rodman Receives An Eye-Opening Letter From A Former North Korean Prisoner Describing The Horrors In Prison Camps

Just last week, Dennis Rodman made his third trip to North Korea to help train their men's basketball team and attempt to set up a match for Kim Jong-Un's birthday.

The former basketballer has claimed that these trips are completely harmless, but it seems clear that he doesn't fully understand the seriousness of the situation overseas. Well someone who has seen the horrors firsthand is finally trying to give Dennis the wake-up call he so desperately needs!

Shin Dong-hyuk is a human-rights activist who was born in a North Korean labor camp and is the only know person to escape, and he's written an open letter to the big man in hopes of opening his eyes to reality in his home country.

In the chilling letter, he writes:
