teens rescued from super bowl prostitution ring

This is just so wrong and horrible on so many different levels.

16 teens aged from 13 to 17 were rescued from forced prostitution this weekend during the Super Bowl activities in New Jersey.

Of the children found, 6 were in New York, 6 were in New Jersey, and 4 were in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

With sex trafficking on the rise, law enforcement officials began looking more closely to "prostitution" ads and realized they started to spike as Super Bowl day approached.

Sadly, this is just the tip of the iceberg as the FBI also rescued

Ricky Martin child trafficking

Just one more reason to love this man!

Through his foundation for children, which fights human trafficking and abuse, Ricky Martin is opening a Prevention Center for kids in Loiza, Puerto Rico.

The Ricky Martin Foundation Child Development and Prevention Center is a $4 million institution consiting of 10 classrooms, a library, and a recreation center hoping to give toddler through high school-aged local children the tools they need for a better future.

The philanthropist unveiled the plans his latest charity endeavor at a golf tournament fundraiser held at the Trump International Golf Resort on the east coast of Puerto Rico, saying:

“This is just the start of a project that is going to spread across the rest of the island and on to the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Latin America.”

Wow! This is such an AMAZING effort on Ricky's behalf and we'd like to wish his foundation the best as they continue to make a difference in the lives of children who really need it.

More Scientology Dramz!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTom Cruise

more scientology dramz

We've been hearing lots of less-than-wonderful things about Scientology lately, and now we're hearing some less-than-legal things about the religious group.

The Church of Scientology is currently being investigated for human trafficking AND for using free labor, much of which has reportedly been used on Tom Cruise.

Allegations against Cruise include reports that he ordered workers to "customize a building, rebuild motorcycles, spend years fixing boats," and plenty more…for ONLY fifty dollars a week!

The investigation is also exploring human trafficking claims, in which Scientologists are sent to "reeducation" camps if they are unable to live up to their "religious duties."

Here's what Scientologist Bruce Hines had to say about his time in one of these camps, which lasted six years:

"In 1995, when I was put in [a camp], there were twelve of us. At the high point, in 2000, there were about a hundred and twenty of us."

Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology have both denied everything.

This is SO upsetting! What will we hear about Scientology next???
