Marc Jacobs Fake Fur Clothes Actually Use Chinese Canine Fur!!!

Guess it isn't so fake after all!

Marc Jacobs jackets that are sold at Century 21 actually use dog hair, not the faux fur the company claims to use!

Despite the labels that claim the fur is fake, a independent probe from the Humane Society has found that the jackets material actually consists of the hair of Chinese raccoon dogs.

Here's what a representative of the Humane Society's Fur Free Campaign said:

“Anybody who doesn’t want to buy animal fur should be very angry that a product that they’re trying to avoid is being misrepresented as a product they may want to buy."

A video has been released from the Humane Society where they identify jackets that are labeled to contain "fake fur," but actually consist of the chinese dog hair material.

Ch-ch-check it out by watching it (above) !!!

Letter From Ke$ha To Lady Gaga Faked, But Still True

Filed under: Sad SadLady GaGaKe$haAnimal CrueltyFur

There is a letter going around the internet that is supposed to be from Ke$ha to Lady Gaga calling her out on wearing real fur.

This letter has been called "not legit" by Ke$ha's management team, saying she didn't write it, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Ke$ha LOOOOVES animals! She's the Humane Society's Global Ambassador!

The hoax (but still true) letter said:

"It upsets me to see you, a role model to many, especially those who are fashion forward would openly endorse such a cruel and inhumane practice. Animals are skinned and tortured for hours in order to make the fur that you, and other individuals of the upper class, lavishing wear around proudly."

The letter then begs Gaga to change her ways, saying:

"I can not begin to explain the amount of torture, harm and cruelty that is used when handling these animals that are ultimately killed for your pleasure. I hope this note has struck a chord with you and you strongly reconsider your decision to wear fur again."

Again, we know the letter is fake but everything it says still rings true.

Wearing fur is wrong and cruel and should not be done by ANYONE.

Especially someone others might consider a role model.

TAKE OFF THE FUR!

Quick Tip Of The Day

teddy-hilton-quick-tip-of-the-day.jpg

Easter is just around the corner and that means bunnies, bunnies, BUNNIES!

But using live bunnies is not the way to go. Check out this tip about businesses using live animals for this holiday season.

PETA QUICK TIP: Bunny Hops, Not Bunny Props This Easter

Like a warm-weather Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny delivers baskets full of treats to children every year. But photographers who use real rabbits as props in Easter photos shouldn't expect anything in their baskets but plastic grass.

Rabbits are easily stressed by unfamiliar surroundings and terrified by loud noises and sudden movements. They often panic when handled, and a frightened rabbit can bite or scratch children. They are also delicate animals whose spines can snap if they kick or if they're dropped or even held improperly. And when Easter is over, these animals are often abandoned at shelters or dumped outside, where they are killed by predators.

Please don't support businesses that use live animals as props. Many national portrait studios have policies against using live animals, such as Sears Portrait Studio and LifeTouch Inc. studios in Target and JCPenney stores. Stuffed animals are a simple, humane alternative, as are Easter bunnies of the costumed variety.

Exclusive: PETA On Humane Rodent Traps

Alicia from PETA has some good advice for what to do if you find yourself living with a few "uninvited guests."

Even though they can be VERY cute, rats and mice aren't always welcome in our homes.

Rather than use cruel glue traps, there are other humane option to look into.

Check out the above video to see those options.
