Meow!
Ke$ha loves her pussycat, and she's not gonna let anyone mess with her kitty's fur! Or with any other animal's fur for that matter.
She recently divulged to the UK's The Sun newspaper that she plans on starting her own faux fur clothing line.

After successfully winning a lawsuit against Neiman Marcus and Saks, the Humane Society is going after Kitson for lying about their fake fur use.
In a laboratory analysis, the animal-rights organization discovered three items being sold on the retailer's website contained fur from a coyote, gray wolf and raccoon dog.
Awful!
Since learning of the discovery, Kitson quickly removed removed the items from their site and issued a statement apologizing for "incorrectly listing the fur content on its items."
Kitson went on to add they will "work diligently and vigilantly to ensure content is correctly listed in the future, conducting additional research when information is omitted on products."
We certainly hope so!

So wrong.
Two styles of Sean John jackets were yanked from Macy's following an investigation by the Humane Society.
According to the animal rights organization, raccoon dog fur was found in the trim even though it was advertised as faux fur.
The non-domestic dogs are indigenous to Asia and commonly used because their fur closely resembles that of raccoons.
The Humane Society's CEO Wayne Pacelle said both retailers and designers "aren’t paying close enough attention to the fur trim they are selling."
No kidding!
After the discovery, Diddy quickly issued a statement:
"I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy’s floor and Web site. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately."
What's worse is Sean John isn't the only clothing company that's guilty of using this type of fur. Out of the 10 labels the Humane Society tested, 9 of them tested positive for raccoon dog fur.
Sad.

Here's some good news for those who don't want to wear fur.
California is sending a proposed law to the State Senate that would require special labels for any clothes made of fur.
The state currently allows many fur products to go unlabeled if they use less than $150 worth of animal fur.
Author of the bill Fiona Ma said in a statement following the 46 to 7 vote:
"I think there is an expectation that if clothing isn’t labeled as real fur it must be fake, but this isn’t always the case. People have a right to know if they are buying raccoon, dog or a polyester blend."
The new legislation is similar to the Humane Society's lawsuit against Saks and Neiman Marcus that now requires the retailers to have stricter labeling regulations.
