First he shocks a Moscow fan convention by showing up unannounced! Now he's doing it closer to home- NYC!

The superhero made a drop-in at special screening of Iron Man 3 held for kids and teens that volunteered with the Police Athletic League during Hurricane Sandy!

The appearance was especially meaningful for RDJ, who grew up in NYC. He said:

Right after Khloe Kardashian put a used bra up for sale, Kanye West had to outdo her and auction off his sneakers.

Yeezy is putting a signed and worn pair of his Nike Air Yeezy II sneakers on the block for charity. The proceeds will go to RE/CREATE New York, which is helping with the ongoing Hurricane Sandy relief.

Since the non-signed, non-worn version went for $90,000, we’re guessing these will cost almost as much as a sports car.

But hey, if you’re rich, a size 10.5 and have a thing for shoes already worn by stars, then you can start bidding on January 24th!
