The singer announced the cancellations on Saturday with an explanation to fans which blamed "the major anxiety that has plagued" him since leaving the hospital 10 months ago.

Certainly a bummer for fans, but we would hope that the guy's health is their first and foremost concern.

In the apology posted on his website, the I Want Your Sex singer said he had hoped performing "would be therapy enough in itself" to overcome the trauma he endured, but "underestimated" the severity of his condition.
