It's about time. One of the funniest newspapers and websites around is finally getting its due.
The Onion has signed a first-look development deal with CBS Television Studios to create shows for the network.
The comedy brand has two shows on the air already — Onion News Network on IFC and Onion SportsDome on Comedy Central — but is looking to get into the broadcast game on America's most watched network.
They couldn't be more stoked and already have a lot of exciting ideas. Joe Randazzo, editor of the fake newspaper said:
“We’re looking forward to the creative challenge and, in fact, we’ve already come up with several exciting ideas, including 3 and a Half Men, 12 Men and Three-Quarters, and 72.683 Women. This new relationship with CBS will hopefully allow us to take fraction-based comedy to new heights.”
LOL! We like them already! Can't wait to see what they think of for CBS.
Maybe they'll consider something based off of the exciting life of Chris Morgan, the 5-year-old screenwriter of Fast Five!
Are U excited for an Onion show to air on CBS?
