The pre-sale numbers for Christopher Nolan's next and — supposedly — last Batman film are a clear
bat-signal of success on the horizon!
The demand is soooo ridiculously high that IMAX screens across the country are even selling out $40 triple features that start with Batman Begins, continue with Heath Ledger's Dark Knight, and finish with a midnight premiere of TDKR!!
In our professional opinion, this has less to do with

Men In Black III won't be the massive hit of the summer, but for a sequel that came out a decade after the last installment, it's doing pretty well.
The movie dethroned The Avengers over Memorial Day weekend and collected a modest $55 million domestically. Not exactly a record breaker … UNLESS you look at the IMAX ticket sales!

There are 583 IMAX theaters world wide, and on Friday, 451 of them will be playing The Avengers in IMAX 3D! (Even in China!)
Disney Studios announced today that The Avengers will play 275 IMAX theaters across the US.
The film's overseas debut broke IMAX records last weekend, significantly outperforming Marvels previous 3D big big releases: Iron Man 2 in 2010 and Thor last year.
The studio predicts the same earth shattering sells for it's domestic audience. Ticket pre-sales are even better than the last two Marvel films, sooooo they're probs right.
Do U think it's worth seeing the The Avengers in an IMAX theatre?
