Do Hot Dogs Give You Cancer?

According to a new billboard near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway they do!

In response to concession stands selling more than 1.1 million hot dogs during the Indianapolis 500 races in 2010, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine put up the advertisement to warn consumers of the danger lurking inside each bun.

The billboard features hot dogs protruding from a cigarette package to send the message that a "Hot dog can wreck your health."

According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, one 50-gram serving of processed meat daily increases the risk of colorectal cancer by about 21%.

If that's true, hot dog lovers may be putting their colon in danger because just one hot dog contains the equivalent of 50-grams of processed meat.

We knew hot dogs couldn't have been "good" for you body, but we didn't know they could cause cancer! This may make us think twice before buying our next Dodger dog.

Protesters Want Trump Out Of Indy 500 Race

Donald Trump Indy 500

Donald Trump, the esteemed real estate mogul and politician reality television star, was selected a month ago to appear as this year's celebrity pace car driver in the 100th annual Indianapolis 500. However, due to his recent political outbursts, some people aren't exactly thrilled.

His rants and raves about the legitimacy of just about anything and everything that makes President Barack Obama who he is has created a stir in the racing community. Now race fans, local citizens, and even an Indiana state lawmaker want to bump Trump from the race!

Michael Wallack, who took to Facebook and created a page protesting the Trump's appearance in the race, said:

"To me, when they first named Donald Trump, it just felt wrong. He has no relationship to the track, to the race, to racing, to Indianapolis, and I think I would have been bothered anytime with something like that. But to do that on the 100th anniversary, it made no sense. Then when he started going off on the birther stuff, that prompted me to do more and that's when I started the page."

Although Donald has not responded directly to those who wish to fire him from his racing gig, his executive vice president and special counsel, Michael Cohen, has said:

"The debate stems from unfounded, incorrect and malicious lies that Donald Trump has a racial bias toward the President. Nothing could be further from the truth, as Donald Trump doesn't have a racist bone in his body. Mr. Trump's request for President Obama's birth certificate, school records and documents were predicated upon transparency, a major part of President Obama's 2008 platform. If Mr. Trump should become the next president, he would provide these documents willingly."

That would be a great argument IF President Obama never showed his birth certificate, but sadly for Trump's reputation, he has…again…and again.

Rep. Jeb Bardon, a Democrat who represents the area surrounding the racetrack, thinks Trump's appearance will draw negative attention to this month's centennial celebration, and even used a speech at the legislature last week to call for a driver change.

Organizers say that they have never replaced a celebrity driver, at least in an incident that has been recorded over the last 100 years, but are monitoring the protests against Donald Trump's appearance.

Guess we'll find out by May 29 if Trump gets dumped by the Indy 500!
