Some feuds never see an end.
Fifteen years ago, Smashing Pumpkins' frontman Billy Corgan ignited a feud with indie-rock band Pavement. Fifteen years later, he's still on their ass.
As you well know, The Smashing Pumpkins are relaunching, but not reuniting (Billy is the only returning original member) for a new album and tour later this month. One of their stops is in Brazil and Billy has just learned that joining them on-stage will be his rivals, Pavement.
Naturally, he had something to say about that, so he took to his Twitter to comment. He tweeted:
"Just found out SP is playing with Pavement in Brazil. It's gonna be 1 of those New Orleans type funerals. I say that because they represent the death of the alternative dream, and we follow with the affirmation of life part. Funny how those who pointed the big finger of 'sell out' are the biggest offenders now. Yawn. they have no love … We'll be the band up there playing NEW songs because we have the love."
Yikes. Talk about bad blood.
Wonder what Stephen Malkmus is going to have to say about this?
