Leo DiCaprio Gained Weight For J. Edgar Role

Leo Fat

He might not have done anything too drastic as far as weight gain goes (we're looking at you Always Sunny In Philadelphia), but according to the screenwriter of J. Edgar, Leonardo DiCaprio did get a little fat for his portrayal of his character's later years!

“Some of those pounds on later Hoover were not prosthetic. I’ll say it. Leo got a little fat.”

LOLz! We like how we put that.

His food of choice?

German Chocolate Cupcakes!

Damn, now we want one! Too bad we don't have a good reason to indulge like Leo!

Hilary Duff Talks About Her Preggers Cravings!

Hilary Duff Cravings

What's the best part about being pregnant?

Actually, we won't pretend like we even know, but being able to indulge on your cravings might be near the top of the list — and nobody is more excited to talk about it than Hilary Duff!

"Now I can finally talk about my cravings! Today it was rice crispy treats! Trying really hard to give them ALL away!!!" Duff, 23, tweeted on August 15, along with a Twitpic showing a freshly made batch of the gooey marshmallow treats.

Other celebrity moms have spilled the beans on their cravings too, like Alyssa Milano and Kourtney Kardashian:

For Alyssa Milano, who is due in mid-September, it was a certain veggie. "Broccoli! I can't even consider that a craving because it's so odd. I can't get enough broccoli!"

Kourtney Kardashian, 32, admitted that she had a hankering for some unique concoctions while pregnant with son Mason, 20 months. "My most intense craving was a waffle with butter and syrup. Weirdest maybe a relish and mayo sandwich, but only once thank god!"

We love us some Krispie treats, and also waffles, but a relish and mayo sandwich?? Gross!

Ha!

Hope the pregnancy is going smoothly, Hilary!

Lisa DeFazio Answers Your Questions

Hey Lisa,

I have been on a journey getting healthy and fit for about 5 years now. On a regular day I eat a well balanced organic diet, and I rarely drink, but every once in awhile I really get a craving for wine and chocolate. Once I have one day off the wagon I tend to have a couple more bad days. Is it better to plan a cheat day? Or are cheat days even a good idea in the first place. If they are OK, how many cheat days is too many? I still have about 25 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight, and I know that a couple bad days can add about 2 lbs back on the scale. I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you so much and tell Perez he is a god send for this site!

Chelsey H.

Hi Chelsey!

Cheat days are going to happen, and it is okay! Relax, and enjoy it. The most important thing to do is to get back on track the very next morning! I have found that many people are either "perfect" with their diet and exercise program or out of control! One cheat day, or a day of indulging in high-fat food, often leads to thoughts such as "I blew it anyway so who cares," and the next day you have a burger and fries, and so on, leading to a week of no exercise and over eating!

I listen to my body and it tells me when I will cheat. You know those days when you HAVE to eat a burger or chocolate cake and nothing else will satisfy your craving? For example it may be a Saturday night and I am craving a burger, I go for it, and Sunday, get back on track. I enjoy it, forget about it, and move on. Do not dwell on it and feel guilty! The next day, I will have an egg white and vegetable omelet for breakfast, a salad with chicken for lunch, and maybe salmon and rice for dinner. The problem with planning cheat days is that if you plan that Friday night you will eat pizza, but on Friday night, you are not in the mood for pizza, you want sushi (which is healthy), then do not force yourself to cheat!

I would say one cheat day a week is reasonable, do not cheat all day long, and get back on track eating healthy the very next morning! Going for a walk the next day or working out would be even better. Taking care of your body is a life long responsibility! You will not go the rest of your life without indulging! So accept that you will crave some wine and chocolate, and that is fine, because let's face it, enjoying wine and chocolate is a wonderful part of life-in moderation of course!

Boxed Bagged Wine

Indulge bagged wine

Boxed wine is on its way out and bagged wine is on the way in.

Indulge Wines is offering a 2009 Sauvignon Blanc and a 2009 Pinot Noir in 1.5-liter bags that are equivalent to two regular-sized bottles.

Sure, not quite as classy as a bottle, but we think it's a step up from a box, which is pretty much bagged wine anyway. What's the point of having TWO containers for one liquid?

The new bagged wine boasts slightly more portability with the bags weighing only 2% of a full bags weight, which will keep the wine fresh for 30 days after opening.

If you can't finish a bag of wine in 30 days, then you have no business buying bagged wine in the first place.

Heidi Klum Eats Fast Food When She’s Happy

Ha! She has the exact opposite pattern of most people, who eat out boredom or depression.

Heidi Klum recently revealed that she treats herself to fast food whenever she’s happy.

“I treat myself to a Big Mac, fries and a Coke” said Heidi.

Heidi is able to stay slim while occasionally indulging because she works out and eats healthy the majority of the time! You can treat yourself, just not every day!
