Vegan Pancakes With Fresh Berry Compote — Recipe To WOW!

Playing hostess this weekend, or just want to brunch on something healthy AND delicious? Whip up these Vegan Pancakes and serve them up with a Fresh Berry Compote for a fab weekend treat without any guilt!

Ingredients:

6 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons whole ground flaxseed meal
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups of almond or soy milk
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Combine water and flaxseed in a small bowl. Combine and let sit for a few minutes. Then combine it with the remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Heat up a frying pan with cooking spray, oil or butter. Fry up batter in batches, using a 1/3 cup for large pancakes and 1/4 cup for smaller sized pancakes. Flip over so both sides are lightly browned. Serve with butter, syrup or fresh berry compote.

Berry Compote:

Ingredients:

1 cup of blueberries
1 cup of sliced strawberries
1/4 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions:
Combine berries, sugar and lemon juice in a pot. Bring it to a boil then simmer on low flame until begins to thicken into a syrup. Serve over pancakes!

Steak And Asparagus: A Perfect Recipe For A Perfect Pairing!

This easy and delicious recipe for Steak and Asparagus is the perfect meal for lounging by the pool with friends. Throw in a couple of beers and it's the perfect summer dinner.

Ingredients:
1 large bunch of asparagus, steamed
1 lb. flank steak, or sandwich steak
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tsp steak seasoning
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon minced ginger

Directions:
In a large ziplock bag mix together the oil with the soy sauce. Add the garlic, ginger and steak seasoning. Place the steak in the bag. Marinate the meat for at least 20 minutes. Heat a grill pan or frying pan until very hot, (without oil.) When the pan is hot, add the steak and brown on both sides. Let it rest for a few minutes before cutting. Serve it sliced up thinly over steamed asparagus or in a fresh garden salad.

We're proud of people combining the names of the ingredients into silly sounding words, regardless if it's Cronut OR a Crookie! Just saying them makes us smile — and then we start drooling, because we want to eat SO MANY OF THEM!

That being said… look out, Cronuts! A new bad boy is in town!

The Crookie is about to take Canada by storm, and you can totally tell why by the picture (above)! We can't even sit still in our seats we want one so bad, and that's before we heard someone describe what it's like to eat one! Check it:

Simple Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies — PERFECTION YOU CAN EAT!

I am obsessed with chocolate and peanut butter!!! Here is a fast and easy recipe that will be ready in minutes! For a healthier kick, substitute ½ cup sugar with rolled oats. For a fancy kick, sprinkle the tops with sea salt!

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Drop large spoonfuls onto baking sheet (about 1 ½ tablespoons) and use a fork to press down the top. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Let sit for 5 minutes before moving from baking sheet, and enjoy!

Let This Rustic Pear Tart Into Your Heart!

I love making tarts! This simple and delicious recipe is perfect for breakfast and dessert! For a gluten-free / low-carb version, skip the puff pastry and add all ingredients to a pie plate. Experiment with different Greek yogurt and fruit combinations, and even try adding a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon – the possibilities are endless!

½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (plus flour for rolling)
2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll out puff pastry on lightly floured surface, and fit into lightly greased 9in tart pan (with removable bottom) or pie plate. Arrange pears on bottom of pan. In small bowl, mix yogurt and eggs, and pour over pears and spread evenly. Bake for 35-40 or until set. Cool and serve!

Drown Your Meat In This Simple And Delicious 4th Of July BBQ Sauce!!

Happy 4th of July! I'm looking forward to a day by the pool, and some action on the grill. BBQ is one of my favorite foods in the entire world, so here is a BBQ sauce recipe that can be ready in minutes without the preservatives and fake ingredients of the store bought brands. Customize your sauce by adding a splash of hot sauce, garlic, liquid smoke - or even whiskey!

1 cup ketchup
1/4 sweetener (brown sugar, molasses, honey or agave)
1 Tbsp mustard (I like a super spicy dijon)
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

Add all ingredients to small saucepan over medium heat, and stir until combined. Bring to a boil, and continue stirring until all ingredients are dissolved and reduced (about 5-10 minutes). Use as a marinade or dipping sauce for your favorite meat, and enjoy!

4th Of July Recipe For Your Salivating Faces: Strawberry Peach Crumble!!

There is nothing more American than good ol' pie. Celebrate July 4th with this deliciously sweet Strawberry Peach Crumble!

Ingredients:

1 deep dish pie crust
12 strawberries, cut up
2 white peaches, peeled and cut up
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of flour
1/2 stick of margarine
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. lemon juice

Directions:

Place cut up strawberries and peaches in the pie crust. Drizzle lemon juice on top. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and margarine in a bowl. Crumble with your hands and place over fruit in pie crust. Bake in oven on 350′ for about 30 minutes until crust is slightly browned.

*Tips&Tricks: You can use any fruit combo you like! I often make this using apples and berries, a combo of berries or just apples. Serve it warm with ice cream but it also tastes great cold!
