PETA Gives Kim And Kris Fur - Faux Of Course!

peta-gives-kim-kardashian-faux-fur.jpg

How sweet.

PETA gave Kim Kardashian and her soon-to-be hubby Kris Humphries an interesting wedding gift.

The animal rights organization gave the couple a faux fur throw blanket (like the one above) to replace her REAL fur items. Guess they want her to follow in her sister Khloe's footsteps, who posed nude for a PETA anti-fur ad.

PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk talked about the gift, saying:

"Today’s luxurious faux furs make it easy for anybody to keep up with the Kardashians. We hope that every time Kim looks at her beautiful gift, she thinks about the animals who were electrocuted, stomped, or skinned alive for the real fur she has favored in the past and she decides that in her new life as Mrs. Humphries she will only go with the faux."

Ouch. Well, if that isn't blunt…

Although, she does have a point. We love Kim and she's absolutely beautiful, but the furs need to go! Faux all the way, baby!

PETA Isn't GaGa Over Newest Vogue Hommes Cover Girl

Yeah, we can see where there would be an issue.

The latest issue of Vogue Hommes Japan features Lady GaGa in pretty raw attire.

PETA President Ingrid Newkirk wasted no time in releasing a statement on how the organization feels about GaGaloo's meat bikini and let's just say, they are less than pleased.

Ingrid responded:

"Lady GaGa's job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body. No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal. Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that's the look they were going for, they achieved it."

They do have a point, we guess.

What do U think? Did GaGalicious take things too far or is PETA overreacting?
